Nancy Pearcey joins the show today to discuss her book Love Thy Body and the foundational religious premise that animates secular progressivism today. What has come to be called body-self dualism or the fact-value split, Nancy explains how this religious worldview drives every forward movement of the secular moral revolution. Rather than dealing in bits and pieces with these culture war issues, Nancy argues we must identify the underlying worldview behind it all if we’re going to be effective. While secularism offers a hatred and dismissal of our bodies as the result of mindless, purposeless forces, Christianity offers a high view of our bodies as intrinsically valuable with a purpose. In a resurfaced video from 2021, the “Self-Managed Abortion” YouTube channel features a woman teaching abortion-minded women how to build an actual altar for their “sacred abortion experience,” including a container for the remains of the baby. And a pro-life woman goes undercover and infiltrates the Iowa Jane Collective who recently held an “abortion doula” training and instructed participants on how to perform do-it-yourself abortions at home and support women seeking to kill their babies as states move to restrict the procedure. As the enemy continues to overplay his hand, his servants do too. They are now openly advocating for sacrificing aborted babies on altars. The Biden administration just filed their first lawsuit to strike down a state abortion ban since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, lying through their teeth by claiming the abortion ban prevents women from receiving emergency medical care. Pro-abortion lawmaker Hakeem Jeffries calls pro-lifers “extreme” and a “threat” to America, just weeks after House Democrats blocked a resolution condemning the extreme violence against pro-life pregnancy centers and churches by pro-abortion domestic terrorists. As the abortion industrial complex slowly recovers from losing Roe v. Wade, they are tripling down and increasing their attacks against pro-lifers. The American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology threatens to decertify physicians who provide alleged “misinformation and disinformation” about abortion to patients.
