Hour 1: Fake Christianity

Fake Christianity is deceptive and deadly. And, unfortunately, it's very much alive today. We can easily recognize problems and hypocrisy around us. But it takes humility and courage to face the error and deception within us. With a pastoral heart, our guest, Jed Coppenger, will show us how unnoticed hypocrisy, like prayerlessness, neglect of the Bible, gossip, bitterness, and every form of ungodliness, compromises our hearts and weaken our Christian witness.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Hour 2: In Whom Do We Trust?

Stress. We all experience it in our lives and for some the struggle to overcome it can be very difficult, impacting both their physical and mental health. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week our guest shared 9 important habits grounded in cutting edge brain science and God’s word to teach us how to deal with the stress in our lives, the importance of gratitude, the impact of breathing on stress relief and the difference between stress and resilience. Sexual identity is a fundamental gift given to us by our creator but all around us this basic part of our individual humanity is being undermined, questioned and attacked. We spoke to a friend of the program who has been on the front lines of this fight for many years as he explained why the impact of the Supreme Court’s ruling on a Colorado case on so called “conversion therapy” is so important, why “conversion therapy is and is not and why a bill in that same state wants to make it illegal to identify people by their birth names and according to their birth sex. What does practical, day in and day out faith look like? Our guest used the lives of women in the bible to examine what it really means to live by faith through the imperfect often messy lives of those who chose to follow God’s direction, when it didn’t make sense to them and when they knew it would cost them a great deal. Our guest explored the roots of that faith and how we can learn and follow their examples in our own lives to follow God’s divinely ordained plans for our lives and our families. It has always been a challenge to be a living witness to others but in our day and age it has become much harder because the antagonism and resistance to biblical Christianity is at an all-time high. Despite this our guest, a pastor and teacher who is respected around the world, encouraged us to not give up the fight. He used God’s word to show us what it means to live out our lives daily with conviction, resilience and trust in God and His word to guide us through the slings and arrows of a society that turned its back on His message of eternal hope and forgiveness. From China’s aggressive actions to the push for more AI in our lives, the need for believers to understand the story behind the story of the headlines is greater than ever. We invite you to join us for another examination of the news through the clear-eyed lens of scripture.  Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Hour 1: Where Do We Stand?

The lives of the preborn took center stage as we kicked off a new week of conversations on In The Market with Janet Parshall. We looked at why Colorado is pushing for more abortions through Medicaid, why one of the best known and respected research and policy organizations says it does not want to keep records of abortions and the impact of easy access to the abortion pill is having on the fight to save the preborn. One of our favorite apologists joined us for a wide-ranging conversation on secular humanism. Our guest took us behind the curtain of this impactful belief system to explain what it is and is not, where it came from and how it has and continues to radically alter the thinking of people regarding life’s most important relationship, the one between us and the God who created us. What is the key to true happiness? We spoke to a world renowned and highly respected expert on the human brain who explained the 5 brain types and 7 secrets of neuroscience that can impact and influence our happiness day in and day out. For some philosophy may have been that “boring” class they had to take in college, but those ideas have become the poisonous weeds that are choking the life out of traditional American ideas of how our society and its people should live their lives and the freedoms they should enjoy. Our guest blew the dust off of many of those philosophical teachings to expose their current impact in all of our lives and how some are using them to not only influence people today but plant the seeds of destruction for generations yet to come. Tensions in the Middle East and around the world continue to grow and now more than ever we need to look at the news with a clear biblical and critical eye. Join our favorite husband and wife team as they continue to teach us all how to do just that using the unbending truth of God’s word.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
