Cheyenne Nguyen, at the time of the recording of this episode, is a 17 year old Asian American Actress. Cheyenne has been in national commericials, major network shows, and has an upcoming project that will air this Saturday 2/27/2021. Cheyenne will be on Nickelodean’s new hit show, Side Hustle, airing Saturday 2/27/2021 at 8:30pm PST as the role of Jaime Bullock.   Cheyenne is mainly known for her work on Days of our Lives, New Girl, Extant, Young Sheldon, and Shameless. Thang Dao, director for the Thang Dao Dance Company, resides in Los Angeles and New York City as a freelance choreographer, teacher, and coach. He holds a MA degree from New York University’s Gallatin School. Dao received his formal dance education from the Juilliard School and The Boston Conservatory, where he received his BFA in 2001.   Dao danced with the Stephen Petronio Company and the Metropolitan Opera until 2006, leaving to choreograph for Ballet Austin, Ballet Austin II, Ailey II, Ballet X, Philadanco, the Boston Conservatory along with many universities and performing arts schools nationally and internationally.   His works have toured throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia with acclaimed reviews. His ballet Stepping Ground, choreographed for Ballet Austin for the 1st Biannual New American Dance Talent, received the Audience Choice Award all four nights. Dao is the recipient of the 2008 Princess Grace Choreography Fellowship, the 2009 Special Project Grant, and the 2012 Vilcek finalist for Creative Promises in choreography. In 2012, his work Waiting Women was featured at NYCDAF Gala: Destiny Rising at the Joyce Theater in New York. Ysa bắt đầu hoạt động nghệ thuật với VAALA từ năm 2000, giữ chức vụ Chủ tịch Hội đồng quản trị VAALA từ năm 2004-2008 và sau đó là Giám đốc điều hành từ năm 2008 cho đến nay. Cô là một trong những người đồng sáng lập ban đầu của Viet Film Fest.   Trước VAALA, Ysa dẫn chương trình phát thanh cho Đài Việt Nam California (VNCR), từ 1995 đến 2010. Cô đã dẫn chương trình hàng tuần có tên “Vòng Chân Trời Văn Học Nghệ Thuật” (“The Art Horizon”), bao gồm các cuộc phỏng vấn với các nghệ sĩ và sự kiện nghệ thuật khác nhau. Chương trình của cô được hợp tác cho Đài Tiếng nói Hoa Kỳ (VOA), phát sóng tại Việt Nam. Năm 2005, Ysa được Orange County Register chọn là một trong “30 người Mỹ gốc Việt nên xem” nhân kỷ niệm 30 năm cộng đồng người Mỹ gốc Việt tại Hoa Kỳ.   Cô đã nhận được Giải thưởng Văn hóa và Nghệ thuật (Bằng Ngôn ngữ) từ New California Media năm 2003 cho bài báo của cô trên Mimi News, báo cáo sự hồi sinh của nghệ thuật trình diễn truyền thống Cải Lương trong cộng đồng Việt Nam. Cô đã được trao “Giải thưởng Dịch vụ” từ Hiệp hội Cựu sinh viên Châu Á Thái Bình Dương của USC (Đại học Nam California) vào năm 2012. Ysa đã nhận được Giải thưởng Quán quân VIMO Luminary đầu tiên vì những đóng góp của cô trong việc nuôi dưỡng những tiến bộ tích cực cho ngành làm phim Việt Nam.   Ysa began her art activism with VAALA since 2000, serving as VAALA’s Board as President from 2004-2008, and then as Executive Director from 2008 until now. She is one of the original co-founders of Viet Film Fest.   Prior to VAALA, Ysa was a radio host for the Viet Nam California Radio (VNCR), from 1995 to 2010. She hosted a weekly show called “Vòng Chân Trời Văn Học Nghệ Thuật” (“The Art Horizon”), which covered interviews with various artists and art events. Her show was syndicated for Voice of America (VOA), which broadcasted in Vietnam. In 2005, Ysa was chosen by the Orange County Register as one of the “30 Vietnamese Americans to Watch” in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Vietnamese American community in the United States.   She received the Arts and Culture (In-Language) Award from New California Media in 2003 for her article on Mimi News, reporting the revival of the traditional performance art Cải Lương in the Vietnamese community. She was awarded with the “Service Award” from the USC (University of Southern California) Asian Pacific Alumni Association in 2012. For nearly 30 years, he has led Aedis Architects, a San Jose-based architectural firm that specializes in the design of educational institutions.   As a a committed urbanist and environmentalist, his architectural work embraces sustainable design practices, such as Aedis Architects’ office, a LEED Platinum-certified corporate headquarter.   Community activism has played a significant part in his professional work, ranging from advocating and advising on urban design issues and influencing planning practices to policy makers. Recognizing his contributions to society and the architectural profession, the American Institute of Architects elevated Thang in 2017 to the AIA College of Fellows, a distinction bestowed on fewer than four percent of AIA architects.   Thang is a member of the board of director for PIVOT. He lives in Saratoga, California, with his wife and four children, in a historic home that he restored and transformed. Lê Xuân Khoa là một nhà giáo. Ông bắt nghề dạy học ở Hà Nội năm 1950. Từ năm 1953, ông dạy tại trường trung học Petrus Ký, Sài Gòn. Sau khi học về Triết Học tại Ðại Học Sorbonne, ông giảng dạy Triết học Upanishad tại Ðại học Văn Khoa Sài Gòn và Văn Minh Việt Nam tại Ðại Học Ðà Lạt, Minh Ðức và Vạn Hạnh.   Ở Hoa Kỳ, ông cũng từng là giáo sư thỉnh giảng tại trường Cao học về Nghiên cứu Quốc tế (SAIS) thuộc Ðại học Johns Hopkins ở Washington, D.C. Sau đó, ông được nhận làm học giả ngoại trú của Học viện về Chính Sách Quốc tế (FPI) cũng thuộc Ðại học Johns Hopkins.   Le Xuan Khoa started teaching in Hanoi in 1950. In 1953, he taught at Petrus Ky High School, Saigon. After studying philosophy at Sorbonne University, he taught at Saigon University, University of Da Lat, Minh Duc and Van Hanh.   In the United States, he also served as a visiting professor at the Graduate School of International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University in Washington, D.C. Later, he was accepted as an outpatient scholar at the Johns Hopkins University Institute of International Policy (FPI). He is notable for directing the documentary films Live From New York, chronicling the legacy of NBC's long-running sketch show Saturday Night Live, and Be Water, which originally premiered at Sundance Film Festival before airing as part of ESPN's 30 for 30 series. Be Water focuses on the life of martial artist Bruce Lee.
