A pandemic. Lost jobs. Riots. Social tension, political turmoil, isolation, and depression—and it seems like God is either absent or just flat out doesn’t care. Today, Brian revisits one of the worst days of his life in an attempt to answer the question, “Is God Good?”

Leading, teaching, singing, painting, cooking, dancing, researching, playing, encouraging, praying, writing, creating, building, designing—no matter who you are, God has given you gifts. You are good at something, and today Alli talks about how we unleash those gifts to make the world a better place.

“If I just had a little more money, things would be fine.” Yeah, we’ve thought that too. Trouble is that it is dead wrong—how you control your money matters way more than how much you have of it. It turns out that Jesus had a lot to say about money—how to treat it, how to save it, and even how to spend it. 

Influence. Resources. Relationships. Talent. Opportunities. No matter who you are, God has put things in your hands to manage. That’s right—manage. That stuff you have? It isn’t yours—and having a successful, fulfilling life depends on how you choose to manage the things God has given you. 

Thanks 2020. This year, we’re all more isolated and disconnected from one another than ever, and it isn’t just social distancing. There’s a real gap between us—in our families, our neighborhoods, our politics and beliefs. We were made for a better life than this—so let’s talk right now about how to bridge that gap.

We had high hopes for 2020. Even when the pandemic hit, we thought: “I’ll use this time to get organized, write a book, and learn how to play violin.” Instead, we’re experiencing loneliness, hopelessness, and negativity. Today we talk about how small, everyday decisions lead to an abundant life with God.

You have a choice every day—even when things feel like a hopeless train wreck. (In other words, standard 2020.) You choose how you handle the circumstances around you, how you lead the people around you, and how you respond to the chaos of our culture. Today, we hear stories of how everyday choices to follow God can lead to life-changing results.

While we’re all trying to make sense of a world screaming at us through ads and news feeds, it’s easy to miss that there are human beings on the other end of all those messages—each with their own worries, doubts, fears, and hopes. If we want to make a change in this moment, it starts with finding ways to connect with real people.

Canceled, isolated, quarantined, and shutdown. They’re words we’ve gotten used to hearing lately, and they’re also pretty good descriptors for how this year is going. It’s enough to make you wonder where God is in the midst of it all. Today Kyle Ranson, Ciara Harris, and Alex Harbin talk about finding God’s plan in the ruins of your own.

Even though sports have mostly disappeared, they still have some lessons to teach us, even in the middle of a pandemic. Today we’ll hear from leaders and legends in the NFL who are embracing the grind of 2020 and letting God take themselves and their teams to new places.
