At UFC 243, Israel Adesanya defeated Robert Whittaker in the second round to become the undisputed middleweight champion. In the co-main event, Dan Hooker easily beat Al Iaquinta and subsequently called out Dustin Poirier. Elsewhere on the fight card, Tai Tuivasa was submitted by Sergey Spivak, Dhiego Lima beat Luke Jumeau, Jake Matthews and Megan Anderson secured wins and much more. I recently had Gerorge Hickman come across my radar. Hickman is a former fighter and now head coach of Tiger Muay Thai in Thailand. Hickman, an American, tried out for the team in 2014 and eventually worked his way into the head coaching role. What's noteworthy is some of the changes his leadership has brought both to the fighters he coaches as well to the team. It's also a reflection of the changing dynamics of team gyms in MMA, especially in Asia.
