At UFC 245, Colby Covington and Kamaru Usman battled in the main event where Usman won via fifth-round stoppage. In the co-main event, Max Holloway put his featherweight title up for grabs against Alexander Volkanovski. In a decision victory, Volkanovski defeated Holloway to become the new champion. In the feature fight, Amanda Nunes defended her belt against Germaine de Randamie, although it got difficult in moments. Jose Aldo fought Marlon Moraes to a controversial decision loss, Geoff Neal made short work of Mike Perry, Petr Yan stopped Urijah Faber in the third round and more.
