Celebrated Catholic sculptor Timothy Schmalz is back on The BeatiDudes to discuss his sculptural interpretation of Dante’s Divine Comedy. To honor and celebrate the 700th anniversary of Dante Alighieri’s death, Timothy Schmalz has created sculptures of each of the 100 cantos of the Divine Comedy.This collection of sculptures narrating the Divine Comedy acts as a visual introduction to what is considered one of the greatest poems in Western society.For over thirty years, Catholic sculptor Tim Schmalz has been visually translating sacred scripture and creating spiritual artwork through his bronze sculptures.
