Most Reverend Edward J. Burns, Bishop of the Diocese of Dallas, is back for a deep-dive discussion on the shepherd’s role in leading the flock. Two years ago, Bishop Burns launched a series of listening sessions in preparation for the 2024 Dallas Synod. The implementation of the solutions from this process will culminate in December 2031 with the 500th anniversary celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe appearing to St. Juan Diego. Bishop Burns was ordained to the priesthood with the Diocese of Pittsburgh on June 25, 1983. Next, he was ordained a Bishop and installed in the Diocese of Juneau, Alaska, in 2009. The Diocese of Dallas was blessed when the Most Reverend Edward J. Burns was installed as the eighth Bishop of the Diocese of Dallas in 2017.
