To help me explore this further, I speak to Dr Catharine Denning. Catharine is a GMC registered medical doctor with over seven years of medical expertise. Are we being fooled by food labels with Jenny Rosborough
We all believe we have a choice when it comes to choosing healthy food options, but do we really? Is our choice merely a small selection of what it chosen to be put in front of our eyes in the limited selection available to us?
Seducing claims and health halos such as ‘natural’, ‘superfood’ and ‘low fat’ lead many of us to overestimate how healthy a food is, and it can discourage us to look at the nutritional labelling. Are many of us aware of what labels really mean? How can we understand sugars on food labels and are natural sugars any better for us?
To explore fact from fiction, I speak to Jenny Rosborough on how we can take back the power and confidence in knowing what we are eating.

Are you addicted to food with psychotherapist, Liat Kaye
Food can be a powerful drug. A taste of sugar hits the brain 20 times faster than a lungful of tobacco smoke. For some, food addiction can be very dangerous. Food addiction is a behavioural addiction and disentangling food addiction can announce heavy feelings of shame, guilt and embracement.
So how do we define food addiction? And what do we do when we are surrounding ourselves in an environment which are fuelled towards high fat and sugar foods which are tailored towards our brains reward centre?
In today’s episode I speak to Liat Kaye a psychotherapist who is a recovered food addict herself.

Do you have a healthy relationship with alcohol, with Nick Hickmott
Many of us drink to relax and socialise, but are we aware of how much we are drinking on a daily basis and what affects it may be having on our health?
During January this year, alcohol sales surged by 30%. This significant jump in sales has been linked to stress, boredom, anxiety and loneliness caused by the pandemic. When we look at our relationship with alcohol, do we consider the health implications regarding our physical and mental health? What are the health harms linked to drinking alcohol? At what point does it become a problem? The word alcoholic may not directly resonate with many people, but does that imply that you have a healthy relationship with it?
In this weeks episode I speak with Nick Hickmott, Early Intervention Lead at drug, alcohol and mental health charity, We Are With You. Nick works with young adults on a daily basis, aiming to provide young people with all the information they need to make sensible choices whilst offering a friendly ear to those who need it. In today's episode we do exactly that, opening up a conversation surrounding alcohol, how it can affect us mentally and physically, and what we can do when we starts to become problematic.

Free yourself from Imposter Syndrome with Dr. Valerie Young
Imposter syndrome is defined as doubting your own abilities and feeling like a fraud. A google search yields more than 5 million responses. Imposter syndrome has been said to people such as, Sheryl Sandberg the COO of Facebook and even first lady Michelle Obama.
What I feel seems to be less explored is why does imposter syndrome exist in the first place and what role does our surroundings and workplace play? Is it that we change and re evaluate our thought processes as individuals? Maybe. But how much is our external environment and society influencing us?
Imposter phenomenon is associated with impaired job performance, decreased satisfaction at work and burnout.
To help me explore this further, I speak to phenomenal Dr. Valerie Young. Dr Young is an internationally-known expert on imposter syndrome and author of award-winning book The Secret Thoughts of Successful Women: Why Capable People Suffer from the Imposter Syndrome and How to Thrive in Spite of It.

Navigating Sobriety with Millie Gooch
Opening up the conversation surrounding sobriety can feel daunting for many people. In the UK we have an ingrained drinking culture and you can feel ostracised if you don’t drink. People quickly form the opinion that you have a “problem”. Reevaluating our relationship with alcohol and becoming sober curious shouldn’t need a reason.
Alcohol is classed as a pharmacological drug and can heavily impact our mental and physical health. Deaths from alcohol reached a record high during 2020.
In today’s episode I speak to Millie Gooch, one of the female voices pioneering the sobriety movement in the UK today. In February 2018, Millie Gooch gave up alcohol after it started to take a toll of her mental health and wellbeing. Seven months later she founded the Sober Girl Society, an online and real life space for women who don’t drink booze. We cover how you can make the first move to becoming sober curious, where do you start and how you live your life to the fullest without alcohol.
