The podcast dives into the complexities of church leadership, especially regarding women and authority. It contrasts modern church structures with the community-focused, supportive nature of early Christian gatherings. Discussions reveal how physical spaces influence perceptions of leadership roles. As the series on women in the Bible concludes, we review where we have come from and suggest some ways to move forward.

Having laid the ground work of many previous episodes, we finally come to perhaps the most debated and contested passage in the Bible about women - 1 Timothy 2. The guys locate this passage in its wider biblical, cultural context as well as how this passage functions in the book of 1 Timothy before discussing what we make of this outlier passage.

As the guys continue their series on women in the Bible, they take a look at Galatians 3 and try to answer the question, "What does it mean and what does it NOT mean for there to be no male or female?"

After laying extensive ground work, the guys finally(!) turn their attention to the first of 3 hotly contested passages cited when it comes to "women's roles in the church" - 1 Corinthians 14:34-35.

The guys take a look at Paul's words in Ephesians 5 to determine if he suggests that there are different roles, expectations, and status between believing husbands and wives.

Our discussion of women in the Bible turns to specific instructions about women, specifically instructions to husbands and wives about how they should treat one another. We begin by discussing Paul's directions found in 1 Corinthians 7 and then deal with 1 Peter 3:1-7.

We take a break from our "Women in the Bible" series to highlight a presentation given by Ron (long haired guy in the middle of the logo). For our Restoration Appreciation Week here at GLCC Ron discussed the future of higher education in Christian Colleges. We unpack some of his ideas and press him on a few of his points.
