#84 - Parallel Economies, the Amish, and Statism
The Amish are sometimes presented as a model "parallel economy" to emulate. They are able to provide many goods and services, sometimes without being connected to the same infrastructure as others. However, statist attacks on the Amish have increased (not decreased) in recent years. Can any parallel economy, focused on serving neighbors, exist if statism is the law of the land? Ex-Amishman Dave Stoltzfus joins Joel Saint, Luke Saint, and Chris Hume on this episode of The Lancaster Patriot Podcast.

#83 - Paine's Common Sense and Enlightenment Ideology
Thomas Paine’s Common Sense has been referred to as the pamphlet that inspired the American War for Independence. In this episode of The Lancaster Patriot Podcast, Luke Saint (author of The Sound Doctrine of Theocracy) joins Joel Saint, Travis Schmalhofer, and Chris Hume to consider the first chapter in Paine's pamphlet and discuss America, the Constitution, and theonomy/theocracy.

#82 - Impromptu Debate on Man-Made Law and the Constitution
What started out as a discussion about local farmer Reuben King and gun regulations quickly morphed into an impromptu, friendly debate about man-made law, the U.S. Constitution, and biblical law. Do we need more laws (or codes) than the ones that God has given us in the Bible? Or do we simply need righteous judges to apply God's law and adjudicate between disputants? Travis Schmalhofer, Joel Saint, and Chris Hume address these topics on this episode of The Lancaster Patriot Podcast.

#79 - Coronavirus and the Leadership of the Christian Church
In 2020, many Christian leaders suspended the assembly of the saints. Notable pastors who supported such decisions include John MacArthur and W. Robert Godfrey. MacArthur said it was an "easy call" to listen to the government and suspend worship. Godfrey claimed that God was the one "who has stopped our worship as the gathered body of Christ on the Lord’s Day." Ernie Springer, Dr. Joel Yeager, and Dr. Daniel O'Roark disagree. Their book, Coronavirus and the Leadership of the Christian Church, is a cleareyed critique of the closing of the American church, and a call to repentance for those who buckled. On this episode of The Lancaster Patriot Podcast, Springer and Yeager join Pastor Joel Saint and The Lancaster Patriot's Chris Hume to discuss their book and the failure of Christian leadership, including the failure to repent of shutting down the assembly of the saints.

#78 - Jen Butler and White Christian Nationalism
On August 20, Jennifer Butler will present “Reclaiming Faith to Counter White Christian Nationalism” at the Elizabethtown Church of the Brethren in Lancaster County. Butler claims that the Bible teaches that women have the right to abort their children and that white Christian nationalists think American should be a Christian nation because the founders were Protestants. In this episode of The Lancaster Patriot Podcast, Chris Hume challenges some of her claims and publicly invites her to participate in a debate.
