#56 - Lititz, Pride Fests, and Exposing the Darkness (feat. Joel Saint)

In June 2022, Lititz Chooses Love hosted a pride festival in Lititz Springs Park that the owners of the park (Lititz Moravian Church) later deemed “grossly inappropriate.” On the day of the festival, local Pastor Joel Saint (Independence Reformed Bible Church) led an outreach of over a dozen men to share the truth with the attendees of the homosexual pride event. In early 2023, the Lititz Moravian Church board instructed the Lititz Springs Park board to reject Lititz Chooses Love’s request to hold the event in 2023. The park board defied that instruction and issued a contract anyway. On this episode of The Lancaster Patriot Podcast, Pastor Joel joins Chris Hume to discuss the 2022 outreach and the plans for the 2023 pride fests that are scheduled for Lancaster County. #54 - The Roads of Serfdom (feat. Joel Saint)

Local pastor Joel Saint joins The Lancaster Patriot's Chris Hume to discuss the issue of driver's licenses, vehicle registrations, and insurance. Is the civil government authorized by Christ to punish someone for driving down the road without causing any harm, nor breaking any moral laws? The modern, humanistic mind says yes. The Bible provides a different answer. If the Bible only authorizes the civil government to punish evil (cf. Romans 13:3; 1 Peter 2:14), why has the American mind granted the government the authority to control who drives on the roads? Listen to this episode of The Lancaster Patriot podcast for an important look at the freedom to travel. #53 - Gabe Rench, Cowardly Men, and Christian Community

In 2020, Gabe Rench was arrested for refusing to wear a mask at an outdoor Psalm-singing event in Moscow, Idaho. Rench was acquitted in his criminal case shortly thereafter, and Rench sued the City of Moscow for their actions against him. Finally, over two years later, a United States District judge has ruled in favor of Rench. According to a press release, Rench was pleased with the outcome: “Yes, this is a constitutional victory for Idahoans, but it is also a showcase of how dumb petty, tyrannical mayors and unelected city officials can be, and where they end up when abused citizens have the endurance to fight back and defend their rights.” In this episode of The Lancaster Patriot podcast, Rench joins The Lancaster Patriot managing editor Chris Hume to discuss the case, the need for righteous magistrates, and the importance of Christian community.   Watch the video of Rench's arrest: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jav-5...  For more on Gabe: https://gaberench.com/

#51 - Cutler and House Saviors Need Our Help (feat. Joel Saint)

Following Rep. Bryan Cutler's involvement in electing a Democrat as Speaker of the House, the House Republicans are now complaining that they cannot "get back to work" in the Pennsylvania House. But do we really need these "lawmakers" to get back to the task of creating another set of shiny new laws? In this episode of The Lancaster Patriot Podcast, local pastor Joel Saint joins The Lancaster Patriot managing editor Chris Hume to discuss the current impasse in Harrisburg and the idolatrous practice of looking to our legislators to save our society.

#49 - Government-Funded Housing (feat. Joel Saint)

The Lancaster County Commissioners recently voted to use over $4M in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds for "affordable housing" projects. The $350B in ARPA funds (supported by Democrats and Biden) distributed throughout the United States came after the $2.2T in CARES Act funds (supported by Democrats, Republicans, and Trump). Instead of rejecting this money, Lancaster County accepted it and is now using it for, among other things, government-sponsored housing projects. Local Pastor Joel Saint (Independence Reformed Bible Church) joins The Lancaster Patriot managing editor Chris Hume to discuss the concept of government involvement in housing.
