The Lancaster County Commissioners recently voted to use over $4M in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds for "affordable housing" projects. The $350B in ARPA funds (supported by Democrats and Biden) distributed throughout the United States came after the $2.2T in CARES Act funds (supported by Democrats, Republicans, and Trump). Instead of rejecting this money, Lancaster County accepted it and is now using it for, among other things, government-sponsored housing projects. Lancaster County voters turned out to vote for GOP candidates to represent Lancaster County in Harrisburg. Nine out of eleven races for Pa. Senate or House seats went to Republicans. Sturla and Smith-Wade-El were the two Democrat victors, according to unofficial results.
