Gerwig was kind enough to spend some time talking with Ema Sasic about the film. "Poor Things" had its world premiere at the Venice International Film Festival, where it won the Golden Lion and received some of the best reviews for a Yorgos Lanthimos film. It's a technical marvel in almost every regard, and throughout this entire awards season, we've conducted several interviews with the team involved in the making of the Golden Globe award-winning film from nearly all aspects of production. "Air" had its world premiere at the 2023 SXSW Film Festival, where it received solid reviews for its writing, ensemble cast, and Affleck's smooth direction, making the true story about the development of a sports shoe entertaining. The film has earned three Critics Choice Nominations for Best Ensemble, Editing for Academy Award William Goldenberg (who won an Oscar for editing Ben Affleck's Best Picture-winning "Argo"), and Original Screenplay for Alex Convery. "Killers Of The Flower Moon" had its world premiere at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, where its leading star, Lily Gladstone, received universal praise for her portrayal of Mollie Burkhart. "Nyad" had its world premiere at the 2023 Telluride Film Festival, where its leading star, Annette Bening, was meant to receive a tribute award for her career and performance (she will receive this honor tomorrow).
