After numerous delays, clashes with Warner Bros., and the highest budget Bong has ever had to work with, the film had a ton of skepticism heading into it but received positive reviews following its world premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival. "Eephus" had its world premiere at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, where it received positive reviews for its deliberately paced, sentimental, and charming look at the final game of an amateur New England baseball league before their stadium is demolished.
