Interviews With "Deadpool & Wolverine" Producer Kevin Feige & Executive Producer Wendy Jacobson
"Deadpool & Wolverine" is one of 2024's most anticipated films. Arriving at a time when the MCU so desperately needs a shot in its arm, the third "Deadpool" film brings Hugh Jackman's Wolverine back from the dead after his Oscar-nominated send-off in 2017's "Logan" to combat a new threat, but not before they tear and claw into each other first. Executive Producer Wendy Jacobson and Marvel Studios President and Producer Kevin Feige were kind enough to lend me a few minutes to speak with me about the film following a preview I saw of the film's first act. Please be sure to check out the film, which is opening this weekend in theaters on July 26th from Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Interview With "Young Woman And The Sea" Composer Amelia Warner
"Young Woman And The Sea" was released in theaters for a limited theatrical run earlier this year and is now widely available to be streamed on Disney+. Scoring some of the highest test scores in the studio's history, the inspirational true story of Gertrude "Trudy" Ederle is backed by a rousing, gorgeous score by English composer Amelia Warner. A few days after watching the film in theaters and being so captivated by the score, I tracked down Warner to speak with her about what I consider to be one of the year's best film scores. She was very gracious with her time, diving into her inspirations, working with producer Jerry Bruckheimer, her opinions on the current landscape of film scoring, and more. Please be sure to check out the film, too, which is now available to stream on Disney+. Interview With “Made In England: The Films Of Powell And Pressburger” Director David Hinton & Executive Producer Thelma Schoonmaker
“Made In England: The Films Of Powell And Pressburger” had its world premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival earlier this year, where it received rave reviews for delving into the films and careers of two of the greatest storytellers the medium as ever known: Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger. From “Black Narcissus” to “The Red Shoes,” to “A Matter of Life and Death,” to “The Tales of Hoffmann,” their collaboration inspired a generation and is still revered for their daring artistry to this day. Director David Hinton and Executive Producer Thelma Schoonmaker (and Powell’s widow wife) were both kind enough to spend a few minutes answering questions about the documentary, which is now playing at Quad Cinema in New York City and will open in Los Angeles at the Landmark’s Nuart Theater on July 26th with a national rollout to occur afterward.Check out more on NextBestPicture.comPlease subscribe on...Apple Podcasts - https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/negs-best-film-podcast/id1087678387?mt=2Spotify - https://open.spotify.com/show/7IMIzpYehTqeUa1d9EC4jTYouTube - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWA7KiotcWmHiYYy6wJqwOwAnd be sure to help support us on Patreon for as little as $1 a month at https://www.patreon.com/NextBestPicture and listen to this podcast ad-free Learn more about your ad choices.
