"The Day The Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie" has had a long road to release, and there was a time when many weren't sure if it would get a theatrical release. It is the first fully animated and theatrically released film in the Looney Tunes franchise based on entirely original material. "Eephus" had its world premiere at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, where it received positive reviews for its deliberately paced, sentimental, and charming look at the final game of an amateur New England baseball league before their stadium is demolished.
