Dustin O'Halloran & Volker Bertelmann were in high demand following their Oscar nomination for their work on the 2016 film "Lion." The two would go off to do their own projects while occasionally re-teaming for another film score now and then. Dustin O'Halloran would go on to work with Francis Lee on "God's Own Country," and now he's back with Volker to work with Francis Lee again on his latest film "Ammonite." The two composer were kind enough to talk to us about what it was like working with Francis Lee, what he was looking for in the score for "Ammonite" and how Dustin and Volker approached the project. Filmmaker Aneesh Chaganty exploded onto the scene with his hit debut feature film "Searching," back in 2018. And now, he and producing parter Natalie Qasabian are back with their latest thriller, "Run," which premieres on Hulu this weekend. It's been over a year since the premiere at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival but now, the dark-indie comedy "The Climb," was finally released in theaters this weekend through Sony Pictures Classics. The film tracks the toxic friendship between the two over the course of many years in long and elaborately staged sequences. Michael Angelo Covino and Kyle Marvin co-wrote the script and star in the movie together with Covino serving as director. Michael and Kyle were kind enough to talk to me back in March about their film before its previously scheduled release in the Spring got pushed back due to Covid-19.
