Episode 188: One Veteran With A Huge Heart. Joe Morgan
Joe Morgan was a Sergeant for 13 years in the Marine Corps and was on multiple Combat tours. Now he’s helping other veterans manage the transition home through both his Post Combat Normal Podcast and the Failure to Adapt Podcast. A friend of mine turned me on to Joe’s podcast, and once I realized what he was doing and how he was trying to help other vets, I knew I had to invite him on to my podcast. Joe shares his just a bit of his experiences in combat, what his transition home was like, and how his struggles during that time inspired him first to get some help, and then to begin helping others with his podcasts.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/the-trauma-therapist-podcast-with-guy-macpherson-phd-inspiring-interviews-with-thought-leaders-in-the-field-of-trauma/exclusive-contentBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-trauma-therapist--5739761/support.

Episode 185: Trauma Therapist Live: Do Less Be More
Today, another episode of Trauma Therapist Live. These are shorter episodes during which I focus in on topics that have come up on the podcast which have resonated with me and which I feel are pertinent to the work we do. The topic on this episode of doing less. I love this subject because in a sense it is a call to action. It’s a not-so-quite invitation for us, as therapists, to be mindful of exactly what we’re doing in session, the relevant and the not so relevant. It’s a reminder for us to be aware of what our purpose is in session, which each of our different clients. And finally, it is a waking-up bell for us, as individuals, to be aware of our Why, both personally and professionally.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/the-trauma-therapist-podcast-with-guy-macpherson-phd-inspiring-interviews-with-thought-leaders-in-the-field-of-trauma/exclusive-contentBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-trauma-therapist--5739761/support.

Episode 181: Sebastian Junger
I’ve been following Sebastian Junger’s work for some time now. It’s been his war documentaries, however, such as Restrepo (http://www.sebastianjunger.com/films-1/) and Korengal (http://www.sebastianjunger.com/films-1/), that have pulled me in and had an impact on me and the work I now do.When I saw that he had a new book coming out which looked at our need for community and connection, as seen through the eyes of combat veterans, I knew I wanted to invite him on the podcast. I contacted him on Facebook. A little while later, he responded. Here we are! Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-trauma-therapist--5739761/support.
