Jenn graduated from Lesley University with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and began her career in mental health working with folks who were navigating early substance abuse recovery and experiences of complex trauma. She also studied yoga at Kripalu Center for Wellness and Health. She works to support clients in bringing their whole self and body into treatment in her private practice.Jenn joined the Trauma Center in 2007, where she led trauma-sensitive yoga sessions for female-identifying survivors. Episode 509: Judy Weaver. Warriors, Yoga & Healing
Judy is a yoga teacher living in South Florida who has gained wide recognition for her unique ability to guide her teachers and students to achieve their full potential. In 2007, Judy met Beau MacVane, a strapping 6’4″ Army Ranger, who after returning home from his fifth tour of duty in Iraq, contracted Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Beau asked Judy to teach him yoga so he could stay as strong and connected to his body as humanly possible as he fought his terminal illness. Over the next several years Judy watched in awe as Beau was able to use her instruction, and his determination, to battle the decline of his physical body. Episode 508: Rick Boone, PhD. Healing The Hearts of Warriors
Dr. Rick Boone is the Warriors Heart Clinical Director a licensed Psychologist, who currently leads the clinical team at the first and ONLY private and accredited residential treatment center in the U.S. exclusively for "warriors", which includes active-duty military, veterans, first responders and EMTs/Paramedics. His team helps our frontline protectors overcome drug and alcohol addiction, PTSD, mild TBI, trauma, anxiety, depression and other co-occurring issues. Earlier in his career, Dr. Boone served for nearly 9 years in the US Navy/Army, where he had two deployments as an Army combat operational stress psychologist to Iraq, and later to Afghanistan.
