The company will use the money to proceed with work at its Ampasindava rare earths project in Madagascar, which chairman Ivan Murphy says may be in production within a year.

Watch on YouTube Harena Resources #HREE has undertaken a fundraising to bring in new strategic investors and to provide working capital as it continues to progress its Ampasindava rare earths project in Madagascar. The project is close to attaining a mining licence and a bankable feasibility study is likely to follow shortly thereafter. Harena's new chairman Ivan Murphy takes us through the likely sequence of events, and gives a broad outline of the company's strategy and the opportunities in rare earths that it's addressing.

Recent high grades from the tailings pond at Panther Metals' Winston project in Canada have clearly signposted a way for the company to secure early cashflow, and funding for a re-start of the mine. The plan, as chief executive Darren Hazelwood tells us in this exclusive interview, is to finance the construction of a tailings re-treatment plant ideally through debt, and then to use the huge potential revenue that such a project will generate to take the company on to the next steps. In the near-term, more metallurgical work is needed. But the direction of travel is clear, and Panther has lately demonstrated an ability to move very quickly when it so chooses.
