Catching Foxes
Luke and Gomer
Luke and Gomer became friends Freshman year at the Franciscan University of Steubenville and 14 years later they started a podcast. The show oscillates between a conversation between just the two of us and interviews that we do together of other, fancier people. Sometimes we get explicit either by being too honest or by being too stupid. Either way, it's fun!

Your First Six Months of Marriage
Luke and Gomer are frank and honest about their own first six months of marriage. Luke yells on the way to Mass and brings a towel to the neighbors' guesthouse. Gomer is still abstaining from sexual intercourse because the sounds are weird.

BeTransfigured.com/cf and CatholicMatch.com/ Sponsored By:The Liturgical Institute: God wants us all to share in His own divine life, and so He sent His Son to bring humanity into the very life of the Trinity. He gave a pledge of this great gift at the Transfiguration, where Christ and His garments became dazzlingly white, radiant with the light of heaven. Christ continues to plead for us at the right hand of God, asking that all of humanity share in what He shares in: the heavenly energy that makes human beings fully alive. And the sacramental life of the Church, especially the Mass, is how this divine life is given to us. Going to Mass, then, is more than mere duty. It is the great eternal opportunity to be formed more and more into the very likeness of God.Catholic Match: Put "Catching Foxes Made Me Do It" in your profile to find a human person who is worth your time.Support Catching Foxes

Gomer's Table Saw Near Miss!
Gomer got a table saw. He turned it on. He respected its raw power. Then, his eye-protection also got sucked into the 5,000 rpm blade, taking his face with it. Also, Luke is naked, eating pudding, and singing to Demi Lovato and his wife catches him. Also, we spend some time deconstructing deconstructionism. Chocolate PuddingGood Clean Fun: Misadventures in Sawdust at Offerman Woodshop — After two New York Times best sellers, Nick Offerman returns with the subject for which he's known best - his incredible real-life woodshop.
Nestled among the glitz and glitter of Tinseltown is a testament to American elbow grease and an honest-to-God hard day's work: Offerman Woodshop. Captained by hirsute woodworker, actor, comedian, and writer Nick Offerman, the shop produces not only fine handcrafted furniture but also fun stuff - kazoos, baseball bats, ukuleles, even mustache combs.
Now Nick and his ragtag crew of champions want to share their experiences of working at the Woodshop, tell you all about their passion for the discipline of woodworking, and teach you how to make a handful of their most popular projects along the way. This book will take listeners behind the scenes of the woodshop, both inspiring and teaching them to make their own projects and besotting them with the infectious spirit behind the shop and its complement of dusty wood elves.
In this audio you will find a variety of projects for every skill level, with personal, accessible instructions by the OWS woodworkers themselves. You will also find writings by Nick, offering recipes for both comestibles and mirth, humorous essays, odes to his own woodworking heroes, insights into the ethos of woodworking in modern America, and other assorted tomfoolery.
Whether you've been working in your own shop for years or just love Nick Offerman's brand of bucolic yet worldly wisdom, you'll find Good Clean Fun full of useful, illuminating, and entertaining information. Explicit lyricsCulture Making (Audiobook) by Andy Crouch | Audible.com — Crouch unpacks the complexities of how culture works and gives us tools for cultivating and creating culture. He navigates the dynamics of cultural change and probes the role and efficacy of our various cultural gestures and postures. Keen biblical exposition demonstrates that creating culture is central to the whole scriptural narrative, the ministry of Jesus and the call to the church. He guards against naive assumptions about "changing the world," but points us to hopeful examples from church history and contemporary society of how culture is made and shaped. Ultimately, our culture making is done in partnership with God's own making and transforming of culture.

One of the things that frustrates me most, as a researcher, is the total lack of sources. Take this excerpt, for example:
“I would guess only about a third of the faculty and administration can be described as orthodox,” says a Steubenville professor.
I don’t know what department that “Steubenville professor” is from, but that is certainly not what I experience. At daily Mass, I frequently see not only Theology faculty, but Psychology, History, English, Chemistry… the list goes on.
