This week’s new session In the Studio with Michael Card spans the globe. We’ll hear Michael’s teaching from Mark’s Gospel on the cycle of Discipleship recorded on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. Dr. Bob Bakke will give us an international perspective on pressures the body of Christ is facing around the world and with the coronavirus. He’ll also share how to pray for the spread of the Gospel in this difficult season. Throughout the hour we’ll present inspiring music recorded in cathedrals during Michael’s Israel tour in January 2020.

This week’s “Classic” In The Studio with Michael Card session is an hour of conversation and music that will challenge and inspire you. We’ll being with an insightful study of Ephesians on the value of being connected with the Church as we talk with Scott Roley. Michael will answer some listener email questions about issues in a local church. And then in the second half we welcome our good friends Buddy Greene and Jeff Taylor to play songs from his Hymns and Prayer Songs project. And they’ll even get Michael to join in too.

This week’s “Classic” edition of In The Studio with Michael Card we’ll hear from two guests who are leaders in the world of scholarship and music. In the commentary section we’ll welcome New Testament scholar Dr. D.A. Carson to discuss the laments of Jesus found in the Gospels. And then in the creativity segment Don Wyrtzen, composer, teacher and author of “A Musician Looks at the Psalms”, joins us discuss the musical expression of lament found in the scriptures. Along with the conversations there will be plenty of music by Michael and Don who will inspire you with his performance of at the Mole End studio piano.

On this week’s session In the Studio with Michael Card our focus is on the events of Holy Week. We’ll start with an in-depth study of character and conduct of Judas. Pastor Colin Smith has explored the details of the betrayal of Jesus in his book, “Heaven So Near, So Far”. Together with Michael they’ll explore the mindset that can pull us away from the savior. In the second half, Michael will share scripture and music that guides us through the significant moments leading up to the cross.
