In Episode 131 of the podcast, we’re joined by Chad Benekos, founding member and original rhythm guitarist of the band (hed) p.e., to talk 25 years of the band’s debut self-titled album.  This album was a genre-bending masterpiece, which took so many different styles of music and melded them together beautifully. Chad gives us insight into how the band grew into that sound, signing with Jive Records and the record company giving them the freedom to do what they do, as well as many other stories surrounding this time for him and the band. We had a blast at the Tattoo the Earth resurrection in Worcester on 8/27/22, rubbing elbows backstage with numerous folks and catching up with old ‘friends of the pod’ alike. Derrick Green of Sepultura joins us to chat about joining the band before Tattoo the Earth, taking the TTE tour and the chaos that ensued, and being in the band now for nearly 25 years. Myron from The Workhorse Movement then gives us the perspective of being an up and coming band, working the crowd in the parking lot after their set, and trying to keep up with Slipknot’s energy. We’ve teamed up with Tattoo the Earth founder and creator Scott Alderman to bring you a multi-part podcast series surrounding the original Tattoo the Earth in 2000, and it’s resurrection this year in Worcester, MA on August 27th, 2022.   We spoke to folks all across the TTE landscape: promoters, tour managers, bands from the original lineup and bands from this year’s iteration.
