Everywhere we turn, this message is hammered into our psyche. If it’s not gruelling, it’s not good. Earlier this month, I was asked what motivates me to take on new challenges. What do I look for in a successful transformation?Initially, I thought it was the joy in the immediate sense that encourages me to do more. In reality, it’s the pursuit of joy.In the immediacy of change, joy may not readily be available. Change is our one constant - it can be painful, challenging, and uncomfortable. But if experiencing change is being done for the pursuit of joy and for your best interest, that can truly fuel your transformational growth and create radical opportunities for you.Don’t simply seek short-term dopamine releases. Rather, consider what does the pursuit of joy for your own betterment look like?What are you putting off that feels too challenging or daunting?How could you reframe your perspective on it so you are enabling a pursuit of more joy - despite challenging experiences and moments?Take a look at what you want to pursue.Evaluate how you can infuse it with the pursuit of joy.Consider who it is that you want to be.Get excited to meet the future you.What’s Possible?
