Biden Numbers Plummet Again, Senate GOP Border Surrender? Kerry to Biden's Rescue?
Join Jim and Greg as they tee up three big martinis as we all wait for results in the Iowa Caucuses tonight. FIrst, they're thankful Jim was finally able to return home from Iowa. Then they dive into a new ABC poll showing President Biden at just 33 percent approval and 58 percent of Americans disapproving. And less than 30 percent think he mentally or physically up to the job. Then, they're horrified by reports indicating that Oklahoma Sen. James Lankford is about to surrender to Democrats on an immigration bill that would only make the border crisis even worse. Finally, they get a kick out of Biden "climate envoy" John Kerry planning to step down to work directly on Biden's re-election campaign. Please visit our great sponsors:4Patriothttps://4Patriots.com/martiniCatch the deal of the day before it is gone! Hertz Sees Reality on EV's, Dems Refuse to Learn Tax Lessons, Chicago Schools Computer Mess
Hillsdale College Radio General Manager and Radio Free Hillsdale Hour Host Scot Bertram is in for Jim. Today, Scot and Greg are glad to see Hertz recognizing reality and dumping 20,000 electric vehicles after seeing higher than expected costs related to repairs and collision damage. And this after Hertz committed to have EV's comprise a quarter of its total fleet by the end of the year. They also groan as blue states refuse to learn the lesson that higher taxes make people leave for states with better tax policies. Instead, they just jack up tax rates even more to try to compensate for the lost revenues. Finally, they laugh and shake their heads as Chicago Public Schools lose 77,000 laptops and other devices in one school year at tremendous cost to the taxpayers. And that's just the beginning of the insanity! Please visit our great sponsors:4Patriothttps://4Patriots.com/martiniCatch the deal of the day before it is gone! Chris Christie's Bizarre Exit, Inflation Is Still Too High, DeSantis & Haley Duke It Out
Join Jim and Greg as they break down the biggest developments in the presidential race, stubbornly high inflation, and a pivotal day in sports. First, they dissect former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's decision to suspend his 2024 presidential campaign but not endorse anyone else and trash Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley in addition to Donald Trump. They also cringe as the December inflation numbers come in higher than expected and the year-over-year numbers are still unhealthy. Then they analyze the final GOP primary debate as DeSantis and Haley hammer each other instead of President Biden or even their own party's frontrunner. Finally, they note the end of a coaching era in pro and college football.4Patriothttps://4Patriots.com/martiniCatch the deal of the day before it is gone! Tax Cuts & Surpluses, Kindergarten-Level Cabinet Memo, Phillips' Lonely Campaign Stop
Join Jim and Greg as they serve up martinis from Iowa and beyond.First, Jim's excellent reporting uncovers a major surplus for the Iowa government and how GOP Gov. Kim Reynolds is eyeing additional tax cuts. Meanwhile, the high taxing states like California, Maryland, New York, and Massachusetts are running significant deficits. Then they roll their eyes at the kindergarten-level treatment White House Chief of Staff Jeff Zients is forced to extend to cabinet secretaries. Zients is circulating a memo telling officials they need to tell someone if they will be unable to do their jobs for any stretch of time. But they also hammer Defense Sec. Lloyd Austin for making this embarrassing step necessary. Finally, they have some fun with Minnesota Rep. Dean Phillips, after he hosts an event in New Hampshire that literally no voters bothered to attend. Penn's Still Standing, Biden Campaign Scolds Reporters, Will Biden Back Out of Debates?
After Greg's quick celebration of Michigan winning college football's national championship and Jim explaining his efforts to acclimate to Iowa's cold and snow, they serve up good, bad, and crazy martinis.First, they welcome the National Park Service reversing plans to remove a statue of Pennsylvania founder William Penn from Welcome Park in Philadelphia. They note how the left now seeks to erase figures from history who had nothing to do with the confederacy but also why this terrible plan got reversed too quickly. They also react to a Semafor story explaining how the Biden campaign is summoning reporters to explain how their stories have "fallen short" in coverage of Biden and in covering stories about Trump that they think would be most damaging. Finally, they're not at all surprised to hear rumblings from Biden allies that the president should not dignify an opponent like Trump by appearing on a debate stage with him during the general election campaign. Please visit our great sponsors:4Patriothttps://4Patriots.com/martiniCatch the deal of the day before it is gone! Sec. Austin Goes AWOL, The Sugary Drink Tax Myth, Bosses Getting Fed Up with Gen Z
Hillsdale College Radio General Manager and Radio Free Hillsdale Hour Host Scot Bertram is in for Jim. Today, Scot and Greg serve up all crazy martinis. First, they walk through the bizarre saga of Defense Sec. Lloyd Austin being in the ICU with post-surgery complications and no one apparently telling the President of the United States, the National Security Adviser, or even the Deputy Secretary of Defense for four days. They also roll their eyes at a new study suggesting higher taxes on sodas and other sugary drinks work to lower consumption and the change is permanent. Instead, they point to people just buying the drinks where they cost less and the government often failing to spend the money where it promised to when the taxes were approved. Finally, they sigh at a new survey of employers showing significant percentages of them are weary of Gen Z applicants - many of whom do not dress well, have outlandish expectations in compensation, lack a strong work ethic, and even bring their parents to job interviews. Please visit our great sponsors:4Patriothttps://4Patriots.com/martiniCatch the deal of the day before it is gone! White House Press Office Tensions, Red China & the Red Sea, ISIS vs. Iran
We've made it to the first Friday of 2024! And Jim and Greg are ready to serve up three martinis - right after Greg shares a fantastic 'Die Hard' story. They start the martinis on the lighter side by reacting to an Axios story outlining tensions in the White House press office as Karine Jean-Pierre and John Kirby split duties in the press room and neither one is particularly is happy about it.Then they did into Jim's reporting on the Houthi militia causing so much havoc in the Red Sea that several major shipping companies are refusing to risk attacks and taking the long way to the west around the southern cape of Africa. This will add to the prices we pay for the goods on board. But Jim also points out that Chinese ships are getting a free pass from the terrorists into the Red Sea.Finally, they also note this week's ISIS terrorist attacks against Iran at the memorial service for Gen. Soleimani. The blast killed 80 people and injured more than 280 others. Jim and Greg have similar reactions to the news but offer completing ideas to how the U.S. should approach hostilities between two detestable entities. Please visit our great sponsors:4Patriothttps://4Patriots.com/martiniCatch the deal of the day before it is gone! Unanswered Epstein Questions, Mayorkas Border Lies, Dems' Democracy Double Standard
Join Jim and Greg as they did into three major stories and parental discretion is advised on the first one.First, they react to the initial revelations of Jeffrey Epstein's contacts, what it means and doesn't mean about their conduct, and the many important questions about Epstein that remain unanswered. Then they hammer Homeland Security Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas for suggesting the record number of illegal immigrants is due to climate change, poverty, and authoritarianism in other nations - not the failed policies that triggered this wave of humanity since day one of this administration. Finally, President Biden prepares to make his re-election campaign about him being the only one who can save our democracy - at the very same time Democrats in multiple states are refusing to hold primaries and denying Biden's challengers and voters a chance their shot at a democratic outcome. Please visit our great sponsors:4Patriothttps://4Patriots.com/martiniCatch the deal of the day before it is gone!

Harvard Pres. Finally Resigns, Biden's Truly Brutal Numbers, Sen. Menendez Indicted Again
After no good martinis to kick off the year on Tuesday, Jim and Greg have two on tap for today!First, they welcome the resignation of Harvard University Pres. Claudine Gay following scandals over her congressional testimony about speech advocating genocide on campus plus dozens of examples of plagiarism in her academic work. They also get a good laugh as CNN wears out its Thesaurus trying to defend Pres. Gay's academic work. Then they dissect new poll numbers showing President Biden at just 38 percent approval and doing very poorly among Hispanics and young adults. Jim explains why Gen Z and some millennials are fed up with Biden. Finally, another year and another round of indictments for New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez. This time the allegations concern his relationship with Qatar but there are still gold bars involved. Jim wonders why so so few Democrats are doing much of anything to force Menendez out of office or at least off of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, which has access to classified information. Please visit our great sponsors:4Patriothttps://4Patriots.com/martiniCatch the deal of the day before it is gone!

SCOTUS & the Trump Ballot Fight, Feds Waste Billions on EV Chargers, FBI HQ Funny Business
Happy New Year! Well, after nearly two weeks since our last regular episode, we have found nothing resembling a good martini. Not the greatest omen for 2024. But we do have three important bad martinis, at least one of which has a whole lot of crazy to it as well.First, they weigh in on the Maine Secretary of State unilaterally deciding that former President Trump is disqualified from this year's primary ballot. Plus, they respond to Maryland Rep. Jamie Raskin - himself an election denier in 2016 - stating that Justice Clarence Thomas must recuse himself from any decisions on Trump's ballot access and hinting that there may be consequences if he doesn't.They're also disgusted (but not at all surprised) that Congress spent $7.5 billion to produce 500,000 electric vehicle chargers and so far, it either has one or none to show for it. Jim also breaks down how this is another example of how why free market is far better than central planning. Finally, Jim details the shady decision by a Biden official to overrule the unanimous recommendation to build the new FBI headquarters in Virginia and award it to Maryland instead. Please visit our great sponsors:4Patriothttps://4Patriots.com/martiniCatch the deal of the day before it is gone!
