Arizona & Abortion, Inflation Still High, Biden's Demands for Israel, Jackson-Lee's Iffy Astronomy
It's four martinis for the price of three today and none of them are good.Join Jim and Greg as they start a busy day with the Arizona Supreme Court upholding an 1864 law limiting abortions only to medical emergencies for the mother. "Life of the mother" used to be a pretty standard position on abortion for Republicans, but the hypocritical reaction from most GOP figures yesterday was quite telling. They'd much prefer the talking point than the actual policy. They also groan as the monthly inflation numbers once again come in higher than expected. Prices remain stubbornly high - and often keep rising - regardless of what the president or his allies tell you.Plus, Biden suggests Israel should announce it will stop fighting Hamas for 6-8 weeks to allow significant humanitarian relief into Gaza. He made no mention of requiring the release of hostages in response. Meanwhile, Hamas has already rejected a cease-fire but Biden can't seem to condemn that publicly. Finally, Texas Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee offers an astronomy lesson for the ages at an event celebrating the solar eclipse. Please visit our great sponsors:4Patriothttps://4Patriots.com/martiniGet the Deluxe 3-Month Survival Food Kit and the peace of mind your family deserves. Fetterman & Squatters, Trump & Abortion, Biden & American Hostages
Join Jim and Greg as they serve up three important martinis, with Sen. Fetterman providing another pleasant surprise, Donald Trump stirring up the abortion debate on the right, and President Biden getting called out over his handling of the Middle East crisis.First, they cheer Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman for blasting the notion that squatters have any right to live on property they don't own and have no permission to stay on. He also rips soft-on-crime policies.Next, they dissect Donald Trump's announcement on his abortion stance. While agreeing with Trump that the Democrats' agenda - of taxpayer funded abortions up to the moment of birth and even allowing babies to die after surviving abortions - is the far more radical position on the issue, they're also critical of Trump's "follow your heart" advice on abortion in the states for a number of reasons. Finally, they chide The Dispatch for a pretty weak case that President Biden has kept his focus on the Americans being held hostage by Hamas in Gaza. While it's true that Biden has addressed the despicable abductions, it's not very often and there's an easy way to tell how much public attention the White House and the media want to give this issue. Please visit our great sponsors:4Patriothttps://4Patriots.com/martiniGet the Deluxe 3-Month Survival Food Kit and the peace of mind your family deserves. Israeli Unity vs. Hamas, The Deceptive Jobs Report, Blumenthal Pushing Sotomayor to Retire
Join Jim and Greg for a few quick thoughts on the solar eclipse and then martinis covering the Middle East, the hidden truth inside the March jobs report, and a senator trying to push a Supreme Court justice into retirement.First, they applaud former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett for fending off the biased questions of CNN's Fareed Zakaria and repeatedly echoing his political rival, current Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in saying that Israel must destroy Hamas once and for all.Next, they shudder at the truth behind the supposedly good March jobs report - that virtually all of the jobs created last month were part-time positions. They discuss what this means and why it explains Americans' disgust with Biden over the economy despite good unemployment numbers. Finally, they get a kick out of Connecticut Sen. Richard Blumenthal publicly pressuring Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor to retire - with the not-so-subtle suggestion that she could die soon and hand a Republican president the opportunity to replace her. Please visit our great sponsors:4Patriothttps://4Patriots.com/martiniGet the Deluxe 3-Month Survival Food Kit and the peace of mind your family deserves. Jim Returns to Ukraine: War Update, A Complicated Ally, The Secret Drone Factory
Join Jim and Greg as Jim offers a fascinating recap of his recent return to Ukraine and describes what was different this time around. Plus, Jim's recollection of a conversation with a former member of the Russian Duma who is now allied with Ukraine, and a very interesting look at the innovations happening right now to help Ukrainian soldiers.First, Jim explains why he wanted to go back to Ukraine a little more than six months after his visit last summer. He also updates the war effort, the relentless Russian "meat waves," the impact of U.S. aid being on hold, and what conditions for an end to the war might be under consideration. They also discuss Ukraine's policy of not holding elections while under martial law. Would it be better to demonstrate a commitment to democracy regardless of the circumstances or is it simply impossible to hold elections under the current circumstances?Next, Jim recounts his meeting with Ilya Ponomarev, a former member of the Russian Duma who is now working with Ukraine against the Russians. His tactics are certainly fodder for debate but Jim explains why what Ponomarev is doing is quite courageous. Finally, Jim describes his visit to a secret drone factory somewhere in Ukraine and shares as much as he can about the innovations happening to assist the war effort and the people working there. Jim may be the first western journalist to visit the plant. Please visit our great sponsors:4Patriothttps://4Patriots.com/martiniGet the Deluxe 3-Month Survival Food Kit and the peace of mind your family deserves. Nebraska's Electoral Votes, Clinton's New Book & Jeffrey Epstein, Buttigieg's EV Gaslighting
Join Jim and Greg as they dive into discussion about Nebraska's electoral votes, Bill Clinton writing another autobiography, and Pete Buttigieg gaslighting America about EV's.First, they consider what seems likely to be an unsuccessful effort by Nebraska Republicans to switch the allotment of the state's electoral votes to a winner-take-all system, instead of awarding votes by who wins each congressional district. Jim says some consistency nationwide would be nice, while Greg laughs at all of the outrage on the left when their Electoral College overhaul agenda is far more radical.Next, they roll their eyes as Bill Clinton gets ready to release another new book in November, this one about his life since leaving the presidency. Jim wonders whether this will finally be the time when Clinton is forced to answer many lingering questions about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. Finally, they respond to Transportation Sec. Pete Buttigieg gaslighting Americans about the demand for electric vehicles, the auto industry shifting in the direction of EV production, and saying those trying to stop this movement are like people who wanted to focus on landlines as cell phones were coming onto the market. Jim and Greg point out the major holes in Buttigieg's talking points and why his landline comparison is pathetic. Please visit our great sponsors:4Patriothttps://4Patriots.com/martiniGet the Deluxe 3-Month Survival Food Kit and the peace of mind your family deserves. KC Voters Stiff-Arm Chiefs, Wisconsin Rejects Privately-Run Elections, Biden Won't Refill Strategic Reserve
Join Jim and Greg as they cheer two positive election results from Tuesday and call out the Biden administration for another failed promise.First, they applaud the voters of Jackson County, Missouri, for rejecting the demands of the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals to approve a sales tax to bankroll a new baseball stadium and overhaul the football field.Next, they welcome the decision by Wisconsin voters to reject private financing or staffing of elections. It's in response to the millions poured into the 2020 elections by Facebook/Meta Founder Mark Zuckerberg. Finally, they're disgusted but not surprised that the Biden administration does not plan to honor its promise to refill the Strategic Petroleum Reserve after selling off much of it to artificially lower gas prices before the 2022 midterm electionsPlease visit our great sponsors:4Patriothttps://4Patriots.com/martiniGet the Deluxe 3-Month Survival Food Kit and the peace of mind your family deserves. Israel Kills Top Terrorist in Syria Strike, Parker Shreds Blasey Ford, Gov't Paying You to House 'Newcomers'
Join Jim and Greg as they serve up two good martinis and a really lousy one. First, they defend Israel's decision to target the Secretary General of Islamic Jihad at the Iranian ambassador's residence in Syria. Next, they welcome Washington Post columnist Kathleen Parker's rejection of Christine Blasey Ford's comeback tour - noting that Blasey Ford did not offer a single piece of evidence to back up her story that she was assaulted by Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh back in high school. Also, she condemns Blasey Ford's allies for applying immense pressure on her supposed witnesses to corroborate her story but they refused to lie. Finally, they groan as Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer offers a "Newcomer Rental Subsidy" to residents, promising then a monthly check of $500 for each migrant they let stay in their homes. Please visit our great sponsors:4Patriothttps://4Patriots.com/martiniGet the Deluxe 3-Month Survival Food Kit and the peace of mind your family deserves. Trump Stands with Police, Palestinian 'Martyr Payments,' Pope Says Weapons Don't Bring Peace
Jim Geraghty is back! We'll have a full review of his time in Ukraine later this week but today he ready to focus on good, bad, and crazy martinis after sharing his thoughts on the passing of Sen. Lieberman last week. They kick off the martinis by appreciating Donald Trump for attending the wake of slain NYPD Officer Jonathan Diller and offering appropriate comments afterwards about how we need a major shift in how this country views police officers. Jim says moments like this are also why Trump holds narrow leads in virtually all of the swing states.Next, they sigh as the Biden administration thinks it found a partner in Middle East peace with the Palestinian Authority. But first, the U.S. is trying to convince this supposedly more responsible group's leaders to stop paying the families of people committing terrorist attacks against Israel. If that's a real dilemma for the Palestinian Authority, its commitment to last peace seems more than a little dubious. Finally, they chide Pope Francis for using part of his Easter message to call for an immediate ceasefire in the Middle East and his curious contention that "peace is never made with weapons, but with outstretched hands and open hearts." That sounds nice but it's not always true and not realistic when dealing with bloodthirsty perpetrators of evil like Hamas. Please visit our great sponsors:4Patriothttps://4Patriots.com/martiniGet the Deluxe 3-Month Survival Food Kit and the peace of mind your family deserves. Youngkin Rejects Pot Shops, Hypocrisy Harms Women in NYC, The Trump-Endorsed Bible
Undisputed King of Stuff, columnist, and longtime Ricochet Editor-in-Chief Jon Gabriel is in for Jim today. Jon and Greg tackle one good martini and two crazy ones to close the week.First, they cheer Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin for his veto binge on many bills passed by Democrats out of the legislature (although he should have vetoed more). In addition to nixing a minimum wage hike and numerous gun control measures, Youngkin also rejected legislation to legalize marijuana dispensaries. And Jon and Greg have plenty to say in support of Youngkin slamming the brakes on pot shops.Next, they highlight the stunning hypocrisy by New York City Councilwoman Amanda Farias, who is lamenting that more men won't step in to protect women from attackers in the city. But just last year, she publicly denounced Daniel Penny, the ex-Marine who subdued a man on the subway after making many menacing threats to other passengers. What did Farias think would happen when people doing the right thing get prosecuted? Finally, while Jon and Greg highly endorse reading the Bible, they cringe as Donald Trump endorses Lee Greenwood's God Bless the USA Bible and the website proudly proclaims that it's the only Bible endorsed by Trump. Florida Squashes Squatters, Media Malpractice at CBS, Minimum Wage Reality Check, Remembering Lieberman
Undisputed King of Stuff, columnist, and longtime Ricochet Editor-in-Chief Jon Gabriel is in for Jim today. Jon and Greg tackle good, bad, and crazy martinis and remember the late Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman.First, they cheer Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and the state legislature for enacting anti-squatting legislation to provide protections for property owners and swift law enforcement removal of people illegally occupying others' homes.Next, they hammer CBS News reporter Ed O'Keefe and new Guatemalan Pres. Bernardo Arevalo for blatantly misrepresenting Donald Trump's comments on migrants and absurdly suggesting people have a fundamental right to come to the U.S. O'Keefe also suggests migrants' lives might be in danger in the U.S. if Trump wins in November. They also highlight the painfully predictable results of California raising the minimum wage for fast food workers to $20 per hour. Finally, they offer a toast to longtime Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman, who was the Democrats' vice presidential nominee in 2000 and, just as significantly, a guest on 3 Martini Lunch in 2022.Please visit our great sponsors:4Patriothttps://4Patriots.com/martiniStay connected with the Patriot Power Solar Generator 2000X on sale now.
