144. The Secret To Handling Any Challenge Life Throws Your Way w/ Dean Graziosi
THRIVE MARKET: www.thrivemarket.com/bettertogether
PATREON: www.patreon.com/bettertogetherwithmaria
You've probably seen @DeanGraziosi on TV, or YouTube, or social media, and for good reason. He's one of the world's most celebrated self-learning experts on the planet, so much so that's he's built a business partnership with Tony Robbins.
When you put Dean on a mic, his wisdom is apparent and immediate. Today, he discussed how this pandemic can be an opportunity for us, why the pain of inaction can move us to make real changes, and why we feel most alive when we shift towards uncomfortable, imperfect, courageous action. It’s not going to feel the most alive.
Dean also has incredible advice about our access to free knowledge and education, and for those of you struggling with decisions about whether you (or your kids) should go, he'll have thoughts for you.

143. Dane Cook Spills About Jen Aniston & How Why Failure Is Actually The Best Thing That Can Happen
Do you know what day job @JenniferAniston had before booking #Friends?!?
It will blow your mind! It's one of many mind-blowing moments @DaneCook and I shared on today's episode of #BetterTogether, which featured some amazing behind the scenes tidbits from his recent #FastTimesLive table read with heavy hitters like @JuliaRoberts, @ShiaLeBueof, @BradPitt, and @SeanPenn. I've always loved Dane for his hustle, and you'll SEE it in this interview.
But Dane Cook is far more than a funny producer - he's an incredibly wise hustler, and his views on failure, or as he puts it "the puzzle falling apart," is actually the best thing that can happen to us.
And finally, we can't forget - it's Monday, and we're covering a beautiful #goodnewsmonday story from @GoodNews_Movement. Learn about the billionaire who dreams of giving all his money to charity before he leaves this earth. Incredible. Believe it or not, this is only PART of the show. To see the full thing, hit the link in my linktree, subscribe on YouTube, and make SURE to share this episode with a friend, especially that friend who is obsessed with #Friends!

Maria Menounos sits down to interview actress Zoe Saldana. They discuss Zoe's childhood and what it was like after she had lost her father, what it's like to be a woman in a business that's so male heavy and in particular how there's so few leading roles for strong minded females.
Zoe goes in depth about her early movies like Crossroads with Britney Spears, Pirates of the Caribean with Johnny Depp, working with Steven Spielberg on Terminal and transitioning from dancing to acting. Maria then explores Zoe's thoughts on playing Nina Simone and the controversy surrounding Zoe's portrayal of Nina.
Finally, they wrap things up by talking about fashion and what it really means to Zoe and what she hopes to still accomplish in the entertainment industry.

141. How You Can Help Heal America w/ Omar Jahwar
THRIVE MARKET: www.thrivemarket.com/bettertogether
Patreon: www.patreon.com/bettertogetherwithmaria
As the election mounts, it seems like the country has never been less unified, but today's AMAZING #BetterTogether shows us there's still hope - lots of it.
Bishop Omar is a widely respected community leader in Dallas, who began his career as Texas' first gang negotiator, a job where he was asked to go into prisons and negotiate tense dynamics between some of the state's most notorious gang leaders, including Bloods, Crips, and Neo-Nazis.Omar's revolutionary approach to gang negotiations centers on recognizing the humanity in all people, and figuring out our "intersections of agreement" so that we can take steps forward, together, rather than backwards. Omar's beautifully articulate storytelling and outlook really spoke to me, and had me emotional!
This is an INCREDIBLE episode, and I believe that Omar is offering tools that can help heal the ever-increasing divide in our country. Watch, listen, subscribe to my channel (link in bio), and please share this episode with 3 people who need some #BishopOmar in their life. Also, make sure to watch #BetterTogether every weekday! x

139. Colbie Caillat On Why Vulnerability Matters & How To Find It
Love this interview with Colbie Caillat where she highlights something very beautiful...endings are tough, but they signify something important: new beginnings.
It has been a year of many endings for Colbie - she said goodbye to her band, and even a ten year relationship - but she has beautifully embraced those as changes to invite a whole new chapter of life. Colbie says she's never been more open to change as she is right now, and she's found a great sense of joy and freedom in welcoming the future however it shows up, rather than trying to plan everything out perfectly.
This vulnerability is the center of her episode in the new Disney+ docuseries #Becoming, produced by Lebron James. For Coblie, vulnerability is everything. It's what allowed her to overcome her stage fright and embrace her true self. She even acknowledges that being vulnerable (even when you don't want to) gives permission for others to do the same!
If you love "Bubbly" "Realize" or "Lucky," you HAVE to check this interview out, and make sure you share it with someone else, especially if they're going through a breakup and need some really wise advice. Make sure you subscribe to our YouTube for more. Thanks Colbie!!
