He began his career at the Veria Central Public Library, where he served as a director for more than 20 years. In 2012, he began serving as the managing director of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center and oversaw the largest cultural project in Europe at the time. He is also the co-founder of Future Library, an NGO which supports the development of public libraries, and he was the manager of UNESCO’s Athens World Book Capital 2018-2019.
