Bill welcomes debut novelist Brian Selfon to the show. Brian Selfon has worked in criminal justice for nearly twenty years, more than fifteen of them with law enforcement agencies in New York. As the Chief Investigative Analyst for the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office, he handled cases ranging from money laundering to first-degree murder. He now lives in Seattle and works as an investigator for the county public defender. David  is the music critic for The Nation and a professor at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. He is currently working on a nonfiction book about artificial creativity, in addition to collaborating with the artist John Carey on a book of graphic nonfiction for Columbia University Press.
