Before our Strixhaven and Commander 2021 set review episodes hit, the Sphere has squeezed in one more installment of Identity Crisis! This week: BLUE. Blue seeks perfection through knowledge and that means it's for NERDS. Also, we talk about types of comedy's alignment within the color pie and the mystifying nature of Chicago dive bars.

Join Rachel and Dan as they continue the Identity Crisis series by taking a dive into the swamp! MaRo has described black as the most Machiavellian of Magic's five colors, referring to the color's ultimate goal as "power through ruthlessness." The hosts discuss what that means in a fantasy context and then how it applies to the world at large. Hint: Capitalism!

In the first installment of a new (hopefully) 32 part series, Rachel and Dan try to break down what color identity means in relation to the real world. Rachel and Dan were lucky enough to sit down with Senior Designer Gavin Verhey to talk about Gavin's history with the game, what it's like to design it, and how Commander brings people together. Rachel and Dan also help Gavin design some brand new sets for 2022. They may not be real but they ARE terrifying.
