This episode, we are joined by  Mr. Grant Fagerheim - CEO of Whitecap Resources - a TSX listed energy company with a market cap of ~$14 billion. Mr. Fagerheim is President and Chief Executive Officer of Whitecap Resources Inc., a position he has held since 2009, and also founder of Whitecap Resources Inc., Kereco Energy Ltd. (Cadence), Ketch Resources Ltd, and Ketch Energy Ltd. He was appointed to the board of The Fraser Institute in January 2020. He has worked in both the Canadian upstream and downstream segments of the energy industry. His past directorships include both public and private energy producing and service companies.Mr. Fagerheim is an active member in the community in both volunteer and charity roles and has a passion for combining academics with athletics. He is a director of the Hockey Canada Foundation, serving since January 2008, has served as Chairman of the Foundation and was also a member of the Order of Hockey Canada executive committee. This episode, we are joined by  Mr. Steve Loukas -  CEO of Obsidian Energy - a TSX listed energy company with a market cap of approximately $600 million, and partner at FrontFour Capital Group - a value-based investment management firm. Stephen Loukas was appointed Interim President and Chief Executive Officer of Obsidian Energy Ltd. effective December 5, 2019 and elected to the Board of Directors following the 2018 Annual and Special Meeting. Mr. Loukas has vast experience in corporate transactions, capital markets and leadership. He is a partner, managing member, and portfolio manager at FrontFour Capital Group LLC, a value-based investment management firm. Mr. Loukas held roles including Director at Credit Suisse Securities where he was a Portfolio Manager and Head of Investment Research of the Multi-Product Event Proprietary Trading Group, and at Pirate Capital where he was a senior investment analyst. Mr. Loukas has also worked within the Corporate Finance & Distribution Group of Scotia Capital where he focused on the structuring and syndication of leveraged loans and high yield debt. This episode, we are joined by Mr. John Dielwart - Chairman of TransAlta a TSX listed ectricity generation and wholesale marketing company with a market cap of ~$7 billion. Mr. Dielwart was formerly Chief Executive Officer of ARC Resources Ltd., which owns and operates oil and gas properties in Western Canada. He oversaw the growth of ARC Resources from start-up in 1996 to a company with a total capitalization of approximately $10 billion at the time of his retirement. After his retirement from ARC Resources on January 1, 2013, Mr. Dielwart re-joined ARC Financial Corp. as Vice-Chairman and Partner. ARC Financial is Canada’s leading energy-focused private equity manager. In 2020, Mr. Dielwart resigned from the board but remained as Partner and member of ARC Financial’s Investment and Governance committees, and currently represents ARC Financial on the board of Aspenleaf Energy Limited.Mr. Dielwart has a Bachelor of Science with distinction (civil engineering) from the University of Calgary.
