Our guest this week is Dr. Desmond Alexander, author of the new book, Face to Face with God: A Biblical Theology of Christ as Priest and Mediator. “Desi” is senior lecturer in Biblical Studies and director of postgraduate studies at Union Theological College, Belfast, Northern Ireland. The author of many books and articles, Desi is a former chair of the Tyndale Fellowship for Biblical and Theological Research, and his research interests lie primarily in two areas: the Pentateuch and Biblical Theology. Timely for the last weeks of Lent, Desi joined us to talk about how the New Testament, specifically the Book of Hebrews, understands Christ as our Great High Priest.

Our guest today is Marty Folsom. Marty lives in the state of Washington. He completed his PhD at the University of Otago, New Zealand. He has taught in New Zealand and in several Seattle area schools for 20 years. He has maintained a counseling practice for over a decade. He is an academic who believes that learning needs to be made accessible and practical. His new book is “Karl Barth’s Church Dogmatics for Everyone, Volume 1---The Doctrine of the Word of God: A Step-by-Step Guide for Beginners and Pros.”

Our guest today is Liel Leibovitz, a writer for Tablet magazine and host of the popular podcast, Unorthodox. Liel is an Israeli journalist, author, media critic and video game scholar. Leibovitz was born in Tel Aviv, immigrated to the United States in 1999, and earned a Ph.D. from Columbia University in 2007. In 2014, he was Visiting Assistant Professor of Media, Culture and Communication at New York University.
