Each year during Advent, the global church thinks deeply about what it means to live in the hope, peace, joy, and love of God. So this year, Park Hill Church is hosting these conversations with key leaders within our community. For week four "Love", Evan Wickham sits down with David Wade, lead pastor of All Saints Church, to discuss what it looks like to receive God's love and then freely give it away. In a culture that paradoxically pursues both loneliness and autonomy, how can we follow Jesus' example in humbly embracing our dependence on God and one another for the sake of real love?

For our series "Advent." What is love, according to God? In this teaching, Evan Wickham leads us deep into the songbook of Jesus—the Psalms. It is here that we learn how to sing the song of the redeemed family of a God who is, at his very core, pure loyal love.

For week three "Joy", Evan Wickham sits down with Dan and Alexis Braga, pastors of Neighbors Church, to discuss how to live in such a way that we receive the maximum amount of joy that God wants for our lives (and he wants a lot!). 

From our series "Advent." On Advent Joy Sunday, we look to the Proverbs for wisdom on how to maximize our joy. In this ancient proverb, we find a lady who has been calling out to us from before the beginning of time. She knows the way to true happiness. She wants us to follow her. She is the personification of wisdom itself. And at Christmastime, we remind ourselves that the metaphor became a reality when the wisdom of God entered our world through Mary's womb. The question is, will we choose to trust the God who become flesh, even when it doesn't make sense? If so, we will arrive at joy that truly lasts.

Participate in the 2024 CHRISTMAS GIFT.  From our series "Advent." There's a special word in the Bible for the peace that every soul longs for. It's the word "shalom." Shalom/peace is so much more than simply the absence of drama and conflict. When shalom comes, there is a thick presence and fulfillment of goodness, and healed relationships, and restored lives. Don't you long for that? In our day of division and disunity, shalom seems almost too good to be true. But according to Psalm 91, God's shalom is readily available to whoever chooses to dwell in the shelter of the Almighty. Apparently, no matter your circumstances, deep and abiding peace is moving toward everyone thorugh Jesus Christ. The question is, will we prepare him room?
