The greatest casualty in the battle between the Parliament and the Supreme Court of India for supremacy over the Constitution was the fundamental right to property. In this episode, Anupam Manur and Shrikrishna Upadhayaya retell the story of right to property beginning from the Indian Independence and ending with the Emergency. They touch upon land reforms, nationalisation of industries, the evolution of basic structure doctrine and eventual degradation of right to property in India.
