A Washington doctor is charged with attempted kidnapping after police say he reached out to “hitmen” on the dark web. Investigators got a tip about a scheme to kidnap Dr. Ronald Craig Ilg’s wife. A woman who received the tip-off told investigators that Ilg wanted someone to kidnap his wife while he was away in Mexico. Ilg also allegedly wanted his wife injected with heroin for a week. A South Carolina jury convicted Nathaniel Rowland of first-degree murder in connection with the death of 21-year-old University of South Carolina student, Samantha Josephson. Police say security footage showed Josephson getting into a black Chevrolet Impala that pulled up to the Bird Dog bar parking lot at around 2 a.m. Josephson was waiting on an Uber ride, according to police, and mistook the Impala driver as the Uber driver. Lisa Marie Nowak seemed to have it all. She was an American aeronautical engineer, a former United States Navy captain, naval flight officer and, test pilot Nowak was selected by NASA to be aboard Space Shuttle Discovery. She was also a wife, mother, and mistress. Nowak had an affair with colleague William Oefelein in 2004. Oefelein, ultimately, divorced and Nowak separated from her husband. Oefelein, however, met someone new, Air Force Captain Colleen Shipman, and the trail toward a murder plot begins. Nowak devises a plan and embarks on a 900-mile car trip, taking with her what's described as a kill kit. More than two dozen women have come forward to say that accused killer Paul Flores “either raped, drugged, stalked, or peeping tommed them.” None of those allegations will be presented when Flores goes on trial for the death of Kristin Smart, however, as a judge said the evidence for those cases is “too thin.” A recent search found “a homemade CD he made of himself having sex with women going in and out of consciousness. There is also a Google search for “real drunken girl drugged and raped while passed out.” Paul Flores, 44, is the prime suspect in the disappearance and presumed death of 19-year-old Smart in 1996 when both were students at California State Polytechnic University. Flores and his father, Ruben Flores, were arrested in April after investigators searched their homes. Investigators said they found traces of human blood on a patch of soil that had been disturbed underneath Ruben Flores’ house, surrounded by a lattice. A tenant at the property told authorities Ruben Flores always kept the area locked with a padlock.
