After weeks of speculation, the cause of death for Gabby Petito has been released. When Petito's autopsy was performed, the coroner said quickly that Gabby was murdered. As the search goes on for Brian Laundrie, Gabby Petito's family is traveling to Wyoming to bring her ashes home. We learn that the a search of the back side of Carlton Reserve resumed today. In the meantime, a former FBI agent says that authorities have probably already named a suspect in Gabby Petito’s death, although the person has yet to be named publicly. This comes as the Teton County coroner reveals that Petito died of manual strangulation. So far, 23-year-old Brian Laundrie has been named a person of interest in Petito’s death, but now that her death is known to be caused by strangulation, authorities may have named him as a suspect behind closed doors to a grand jury. Gabby Petito was strangled to death by “human force,” according to coroner, Dr. Brent Blue. He said in a televised interview that Petito was throttled. Throttling means that someone was strangled by human force, with no mechanical force involved. In the hours since Gabby Petito's cause of death was released, Brian Laundrie’s father has been seen filling a gas can and then mowing the lawn at his home. After weeks of speculation, we now know how Gabby Petito died. The Teton County, Wyoming, coroner, Dr. Brent Blue, says Petito’s death is strangulation. Petito’s boyfriend Brian Laundrie is a person of interest in her disappearance but has not yet been named a suspect in her death investigation. Although Blue made reference to domestic violence in his press conference. Brian Laundrie has been missing since September 13, two days after Petito was reported missing. He returned to his Florida home on September 1 without Petito, but with the converted camper van the couple had been traveling in on their cross-country road trip.
