SPECIAL WEEKEND CRIME STORIES UPDATE: Motive Revealed in Vanessa Guillen's murder?
Soldier Vanessa Guillen was brutally murdered at a Texas military base by fellow soldier Spc. Aaron Robinson. A document from the Texas Department of Public Safety reveals that Robinson killed Guilllen was because she saw a photo of a woman on Robinson's phone. That photo was of Cecily Aguilar, the wife of another soldier, with whom Robinson was having an affair. According to Aguilar, who is also charged in Guillen's death, Robinson was worried about getting in trouble for violating the Army's fraternization rules. A $35 million dollar lawsuit against the Army has been filed in Guillen's death by her family. The lawsuit is seeking damages for wrongful death but that's not all. The family is suing on the basis of sexual harassment, abuse, assault, rape, sodomy as well. A military investigation found that 20-year-old Guillen was also sexually harassed and that leaders failed to take appropriate action. Pharmacist-Bride Bludgeoned Dead on Fairytale Honeymoon
A honeymoon quarrel leads to the brutal death of a Tennessee woman. Christe Chen and husband Bradley Robert Dawson waited five months after their February wedding to take a fairytale honeymoon to Fiji. Just two days into their trip, Dawson reportedly beat his pharmacist wife after a drunken argument. Chen's body was found by a housekeeper at Turtle Island Resort after the couple didn't show up for breakfast or morning activities they had signed up for. Dawson was arrested two days later. Dawson fled from Turtle Island on a kayak to a neighboring island. Dawson said he wanted to give his wife some space. Police say he was trying to leave the island to catch a plane from another location. Dawson's wallet and passport were missing from his room. Dawson is set to be back in court on September 1. OnlyFans Model Stabs Boyfriend Dead, Claims Self-Defense
OnlyFans model and Instagram influencer Courtney Clenney was arrested on charges that she stabbed her boyfriend to death at a Miami high-rise. Christian Obumseli, 27, was fatally stabbed inside the couple's apartment. An attorney for Clenney says that the 25-year-old “was a victim of physical, emotional, and mental abuse at the hands of Obumseli” and killed him in self-defense. The two had been dating for about two years and lived at the apartment building for several months. Police say they’ve responded to multiple calls to the apartment, and apartment staff had also noted multiple domestic incidents and tried to evict them. Friends of the couple said it was unimaginable that Obumseli could have been violent toward Clenney, saying while they had seen Clenney hit Obumseli, they had never seen him hit her.
