Steve Goncalves, the father of Idaho victim Kaylee Goncalves, says he is so frustrated by how his daughter's and the other murders have been handled that he is looking at hiring a private investigator. Goncalves says his daughter and her friend Maddie's deaths are very different, saying Kaylee's injuries are more brutal. He also says that he is receiving little information from the Moscow Police. Police say Athena Strand was dead within an hour of her abduction. The 7-year-old was taken from her family home by a FedEx delivery driver.  Authorities say a contract FedEx driver who was delivering a package to Strand’s home kidnapped the girl.    Investigators say Strand got off a bus around 4:15 p.m. and was missing from the residence at some point before 5:15 p.m. after an argument with her stepmother.  An hour-long search ensued, but when Strand could not be found, 911 was called.  Dozens of law enforcement and hundreds of volunteers joined the search effort. Police received a tip about the FedEx Driver Tanner Horner. When approached by police, Horner confessed. Police have not said whether Strand was sexually assaulted. Reagan Simmons Hancock, 21, is found dead in her New Boston home by her mother on the morning of October 9th, 2020. She was seven and a half months pregnant, had been stabbed over 100 times, strangled, and had her unborn child removed from her womb. The perpetrator is Taylor Parker, a friend of Hancock’s, who had been faking a pregnancy for over 10 months. It's been over a year since Michael Vaughn vanished from his family home. Tips lead police to the home of a neighbor, Sarah Wondra. The 35-year-old was charged with failure to report the death of 5-year-old Vaughan.  Police then spent more than a week excavating the home's backyard and announced their findings. FPD Chief JD Huff says police believe Vaughan's body was buried in Wondra's backyard and then moved to another location.  All the cadaver dogs used in the search "alerted" in the yard. Ground penetrating radar also detected "anomalies." Additional evidence was found in the home, but that information is not yet being released.   Huff also announced the identities of two other people thought to have knowledge in  Vaughan's disappearance,  Brandon Shurtliff, 30,  and Adrien Lucienne, 32. Both men are now out of state. Idaho police taking a step back from their comments that the four University of Idaho students killed in their bedrooms, were targeted.  Originally, comments were made by investigators that the public "will just have to trust us," that the evidence collected indicated that the students were the intended victims of the murders and that the public at large is safe. Now, in a released statement, the Moscow Police Department says these comments came from a miscommunication with the Latah County Prosecutor’s Office, and that "detectives do not currently know if the residence or any occupants were specifically targeted but continue to investigate."   Last night the University of Idaho held a vigil in honor of the student.
