Mom and 3 Tots Vanish, Dad "Not Concerned"
Lauren Cook and her children were last seen on September 5. An investigation was launched after Cook missed a scheduled appearance in the Franklin County Juvenile and Domestic Relations court. According to deputies, the husband says his family is safe, but he has not communicated with them. Investigators added that they’re unsure whether she may have left after a dispute with her husband. Police have no records of domestic violence between the couple or any calls for help to their residence. Lauren and the children could be in a blue 2013 Chrysler van with Virginia a license plate. Few other details are known publicly. There has been no activity on Cook’s bank or cell phone accounts since September 7, and the last known phone ping was in Lexington. Tot-Boy, 1, DEAD OF FENTANYL OVERDOSE AT LICENSED DAYCARE!
A manhunt is underway for the husband of a daycare owner charged in the death of a child in her care. New York police responded to Divino Niño Daycare in the Bronx and found three children unconscious. Nicholas Dominici, just a year old, died from a fentanyl overdose. Two other children in the home-run daycare were revived after being administered Narcan. A fourth child, picked up by a parent two hours before a chilling 911 call made by the owner, was taken to the hospital independently after the parent noticed the child was lethargic. That child also survived. Police say they found a kilogram of fentanyl in a hallway closet at the daycare, stacked with the children’s play mats. They also found three kilo presses, used to package drugs. The 36-year-old owner of the daycare, and her tenant, her husband’s 41-year-old cousin Carlisto Acevedo Brito, are charged with 11 counts, including murder, manslaughter, and assault. FINALLY, JUSTICE for Girl, 9, Raped & Murdered Just Yards from Home
Nine-year-old Debbie Randall is abducted while walking home from the laundromat, just yards from her family's apartment. Sixteen days later, her brutalized body is found dumped eight miles away. Despite law enforcement's best efforts, the seemingly random killer has been unidentified for nearly 50 years. Investigators discover a small rag inside Randall's vaginal cavity and initial testing reveals a partial DNA sample. The sample is sent through CODIS, but no one in the prison system, not even executed prisoners, is a match. As DNA testing improves, investigators use genetic genealogy to find the killer. William Rose, 24 at the time of the murders, committed suicide just two years after Randall's murder.
