The month of June comes to a close today as the sane among us are staying safe at home, while the virus deniers are out fueling the pandemic. Cases have been spiking across most of the country, with no relief in sight. The Supreme Court term is winding down, but they've been releasing decisions at a snail's pace. Today, the Supreme Court handed down decisions on three of the 13 still outstanding cases. We'll have the latest on all of that and the rest of the news. Then, for Monday Music, we visit with some of the members of NOLA Resistance, who took on the hefty job of updating Gil Scott-Heron's classic "The Revolution Will Not be Televised" and giving us a new listen to some other classic protest songs as well.

20200626 Nicole Sandler Show - Broken Justice with Elie Mystal
Our Justice Department is under siege, with a corrupt Attorney General who has been upending the rule of law since assuming the role of Trump's "fixer" in February of 2019. He misrepresented and derailed the Mueller report and helped short-circuit the investigation. He's put his finger on the scale in every conceivable way. And in the past week alone, he tried to force a district court judge into dropping the government's case against Michael Flynn who pleaded guilty; he attempted to oust the US Attorney in charge of the SDNY to make way for another of Trump's wholly unqualified cronies. And the list goes on. Elie Mystal, The Nation magazine's Justice correspondent, joins me today to explain what the hell is going on!
