The Nicole Sandler Show
Nicole Sandler
Nicole Sandler has worked in radio her entire adult life. After a successful career in music radio in NY and Los Angeles (WPLJ, KLOS, KSCA and others), she returned to talk radio to host mornings on then-progressive talk WINZ/Miami. After a flip to sports, she moved to Air America Radio for a nightly show. When AAR went off the air on Jan 21, 2010, Nicole Sandler moved online where she continues to question authority daily at nicolesandler.com.

20210219 2-19-21 Nicole Sandler Show - Thank Dog It's Friday
If I didn't have a guest booked for today's show, I would have taken the day off. American society is irredeemably broken and I fear we long ago passed the point of no return. I mourn the medium I fell in love with decades ago and devoted my adult life to. It's gone. An anachronism. So, I'll try to move on, and celebrate the fact that I had some wonderful years in radio before the powers that be destroyed it. At least we have the internet, for now, anyway. I'm looking forward to today's guest. Alexis Coe is a presidential historian. Her latest book is called "You Never Forget Your First". It's about George Washington. But she had me at the innuendo... I'm sure we'll talk about more than the very manly, tall and obviously well-endowed "father of our nation".

20210218 Nicole Sandler Show - It's Thursday, Howie Klein is Back (and so is Ted Cruz)
We missed Howie Klein last Thursday because we were knee deep in the shortest impeachment trial in history. I know there have only been four, but c'mon now. Anyway... Howie's back today, and we have lots to discuss, including a big story at DownWithTyranny.com about the need for Biden to cancel all student loan debt. That was one of the subjects that dominated yesterday's show. We may disagree on it, though I'm in research mode. But I can guarantee you that Howie won't come on my air and liken me or anything I say to Rush Limbaugh, who died yesterday, and was still the dregs of the earth. Texas is frozen, people there are dying and Ted Cruz flew to Cancun... and is returning this afternoon with his nose between his legs... California is recalling Gov Newsom, NY is investigating Cuomo, and Florida counties who criticize Gov MoRon DeathSentence are being threatened by the governor with "no vaccines for you". Welcome to the Thursday edition of the Nicole Sandler Show...

20210217 Nicole Sandler Show - Radio's Day of Reckoning and Other Issues
I'm a radio veteran. My first radio job was in college at the University of South Florida in 1978. I never looked back, but I did take some detours in my chosen profession. Many of those detours could be traced back to one ugly, despicable excuse for a human being. Rush Limbaugh died today. I have a few things to say about the cretin and his legacy. But first, some important items to discuss. President Joe Biden held his first Town Hall last night with CNN. I appreciate his willingness to actually answer questions, whether I like how he answered them or not. But I posted my disagreement with one of the Progressive Left's top priorities. I invited one of the people who responded on Twitter, saying she was "disappointed" in me. So we'll discuss the idea of the government wiping out all student loan debt... No, I'm not in favor of it. Democratic strategist and Student Debtor Melissa Byrne will try to convince me that I'm wrong. I'm game!

20210216 Nicole Sandler Show - In De-Fence of Democracy
The second impeachment trial of Donald Trump is history, and the Biden administration is ready to move on. But the effects of Trump pervade almost every part of American life. Today, I'm joined by OG blogger Driftglass to get his perspective on American life in the post-Trump era (and whether or not it IS the post-Trump era). But first, I've been troubled by the idea of making the fence around the US Capitol in DC permanent. The idea of putting the seat of the US government behind a barrier is an anathema to everything this nation is supposedly based on. I worked on a painting depicting my concern this weekend (see the cover art for today's show), and just finished it last night. I awoke to an article about a coalition of left and right organizations sending a letter to leadership expressing concern and opposition to the proposed permanent fencing surrounding the US Capitol. I'll speak with Arthur Rizer of the Lincoln Network, one of the groups who spearheaded the protest.

20210215 Nicole Sandler Show -It's Presidents' Day, WTAF GOP with Lisa Graves
We knew that there weren't 17 Republicans with integrity in the Senate, but that doesn't make it any easier when they put their jobs and political party ahead of the nation. But that's exactly what they did on Saturday as the second impeachment trial of Donal Trump ended with an acquittal. And as he tends to do, Trump won by losing the popular vote! The final tally was 57 for conviction, 43 against. And he wins! Opposite world indeed. Lisa Graves heads True North Research, but she has served as Deputy Asst Attorney General in the Clinton administration, and Chief Counsel for Nominations for Sen. Patrick Leahy on the Senate Judiciary Committee, among other high level legal posts in the US government. She'll join us today to try to answer my myriad of questions about what happened and why...
