Israel and Hamas look to have agreed to a cease-fire deal that should ensure the release of the remaining hostages held in terror tunnels in Gaza. The agreement says thirty three hostages are expected to be released in weekly batches over the next six weeks along with a pause in fighting. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says the ceasefire agreement still has some details to work out. Ryan Corbett, an American businessman, moved to Afghanistan in 2010 with his family and became actively involved in the community. In August 2022, he, along with several others, was captured and detained by the Taliban after returning to the Middle East to renew his business visa and pay his employees. Since then, his wife, Anna Corbett, has been advocating for his release and pleading with the Biden administration for assistance.
