The acting ICE Director Patrick Lechleitner said the dangerous Venezuelan gang 'Tren de Aragua' (TdA) now poses enough of a threat in the U.S. that a new priority task force has been formed to combat them. The task force named 'Operation Athens' in honor of nursing student Laken Riley who was murdered by a TdA member in Athens, Georgia. ICE says that about twenty percent of all open investigations being conducted by them are related to this gang. Former Department of Education Secretary during the first Trump administration, Betsy DeVos, joins the Rundown to discuss why she believes the Department of Education has become obsolete.Earlier this week, the Trump administration announced plans to impose 25% tariffs on imports from Canada and Mexico, as well as 10% tariffs on goods from China. The Israeli Security Cabinet has approved a ceasefire deal with Hezbollah, an agreement the United States helped broker. The ceasefire has a sixty day transition period when the Israeli Army withdraws from Lebanon and the Lebanese moves it to secure it. Israel retains the right to use force if they are attacked again but would need to provide proof of a violation of the deal.
