The Trump Administration has ordered the Pentagon to send an additional 1,500 active-duty troops to the southern border to assist the U.S. Border Patrol in stopping illegal crossings. Along with troops, the Pentagon will also supply military aircrafts to use in deportations. President Trump's Border Czar Tom Homan has promised swift action on deporting violent criminal migrants. A U.S. Border Patrol agent was killed in a shootout with armed suspects in Vermont near the Canadian border. The veteran agent, 44-year-old David Maland, a Customs and Border Protection agent, died Monday after a traffic stop on Interstate 91 between Newport and Orleans, Vermont. One suspect was also killed and the immigration status of the suspect is still unknown.
