A new report released on inflation shows the August Consumer Price Index (CPI) report, which does not include volatile food and energy prices, rose an expected 3.2% from a year earlier. It was a higher-than-anticipated increase by 0.3% but is the slowest rate of inflation in three years. House Probe Of Afghanistan Exit Details “Catastrophic Failures”

The House Foreign Affairs Committee has released an extensive report on the failures of the Afghanistan withdrawal. In the report, the investigation found that proper plans were not taken to secure the Kabul airport before the bombing at Abbey Gate that left 13 American service members dead, with dozens of others injured. Now the Committee is seeking testimony from Secretary of State Antony Blinken to get answers about the report.
