Why Interview Podcasts Suck
Riverside.fm, the leading tool for podcast and video recordings. Visit riverside.fm and use code LUIS to get 15% off a membership plan. There are millions of podcasts out there, and a lot of them do interviews. I’m telling you, podcast interviews suck. Before you burn me for saying this, just hear me out. There are four key reasons why I don't like interviews. I'm not saying you should totally stop doing them. But you should be more selective and not do an interview-only kind of show. If you want to build your authority, interviews are not how you want to do it. There's a place for interviews in your strategy, but it cannot be the entire thing. So let's jump into the episode where I break down the four reasons I don't like interviews. I'm also sharing when and how to do interviews if you want to do them. In this episode: [3:24] Reason #1: Interviews are a pain to schedule, and it negatively affects your productivity.[5:01] Reason #2: It's difficult to ask unique questions, and research takes a lot of work.[6:39] Reason #3: The interview takes the focus away from you. If you want to build your authority, doing an interview is not the way to do it.[9:12] Reason #4: It’s harder to repurpose content from an interview. [11:01] These are the only reasons why I do an interview🎁 Free Resources 🎁 🎙️ All of My Podcast Equipment & Software: https://www.podcastdomination.co/equipment😃 My Best Episode For “Soon To Be” Podcasters: http://bit.ly/PreLaunchModeRiverside.fm, the leading tool for podcast and video recordings.
