In March Stats NZ told is that Gross domestic product (GDP) fell 0.6% in the December 2022 quarter. This means we are 1/2 way to a recession. Or maybe we are the whole way? A technical recession is 2 quarters of negative growth. 1 down, 1 to come. The second quarter is March 2022 which actually finishes today. Guess what?
