Why being in a relationship with a toxic person or someone who is not a good match for you can cause you to question and doubt yourself to the point that you feel guilty, and as if you don’t know yourself anymore.   In this video coaching newsletter, I discuss two different emails from two different viewers. The first email is from a viewer who is thirty-five and has been with his girlfriend for the past six years. She is twenty-six. Things have been very difficult the past year. She says she loves him but is not in love with him. Last week she got drunk, made out with and groped another man. She swears it won’t happen again. He says he would marry her. He is distraught and often has suicidal thoughts. The second email is from a woman who has been in an abusive relationship for the past six years. There have been many fights, breakups and some physical abuse on both sides. He often lied to her about where he was, what he was doing and where he had been. This bad relationship has caused her to be fearful of future relationships and feel like she does not even know herself anymore. She asks my opinion. She was introduced to my work through an older man that she was dating, and was able to successfully re-attract using the principles taught in my video titled, “7 Principles To Get An Ex Back.” She ended up moving to a different city and they decided to break up once again because neither of them wanted a long-distance relationship. Now she is in the process of moving back to his city and she wonders what will happen. He does not tick all of the boxes of her ideal man, but he treats her well and she has a really good time with him. She thinks in time she could really love him, but she is scared what will happen. She does not feel like she would be setting because he really makes her happy when they are together, but she wonders if it’s better to look for a new man who ticks all of her boxes of the ideal guy. Currently he is broke again and needs to find a job. However, this time around he has decided to delve into his passions, which include music composing, dancing and singing. He feels like he would be really unhappy if he did not have the money he needed to pay for his bills and maintain a good lifestyle. He has made a living when he was working over the past decade doing programming, but this does not appeal to him anymore. He is torn between going for what he really wants full time and sacrificing the quality of his life and lifestyle, and taking a more measured approach where he primarily works doing what he knows, while he builds his dream job on the side.
