Reproductive Injustice and Racism with Professor Dana-Ain Davis
Dr. Dan interviews Professor Dána-Ain Davis about reproductive racism and injustice as well as her recent book reproductive Injustice: Racism, Pregnancy, and Premature Birth

Dr. Davis specializes in black studies, family/sexual violence, reproductive rights, poverty/welfare policy, and women’s studies. She has authors or co-authored Battered Black Women and Welfare Reform, Feminist Activist Ethnography, Black Genders and Sexuality as well as a number of articles on women and welfare policy.
Dána-Ain Davis MPH, Ph.D. received her PhD from the CUNY Graduate Center in anthropology in 2001. Before joining Queens College in 2007, she was Assistant Professor of Anthropology and Coordinator of the Global Black Studies Program at SUNY/Purchase.
Dr. Davis is also the co editor of TransformingAnthropology, the journal of the Association of Black Anthropologists and a doula.

Lynne is a nationally recognized expert on relationships and family life. As a result of working with families for decades, Lynne has witnessed the ripple effects of addiction on partners and children. She explores this devastating reality through a fictional lens in her book The Dangers of an Ordinary Night in hopes that the characters’ struggles will resonate with readers who may be going through similar experiences in their own lives.
