Today’s word of the day is ‘You’re fired’ as in see ya as in you’re terminated as in you can’t work here as in Jared Porter has been fired as the New York Mets General Manager for sending an unsolicited penis photo to a female reporter back in 2016. That wasn’t all he did. He also sent here 62 unanswered text messages over the course of a few months. ESPN ran a story, the Mets released a statement and the next morning owner Steve Cohen announces the firing. Porter was hired as the new GM on December 13, 2020. (21:15)Tennessee fires Jeremy Pruitt. What does it mean to be fired by cause? The school also fired 10 other people in the football program. This has become major news, but the biggest part of this story was seeing the statement that Bill Belichick put out. (16:02) Doug Pederson has been fired by the Philadelphia Eagles about 10 minutes after we released Monday’s show. It was filled with slime and SpongeBob and animations and fun. It was a new and innovative way to show a game and capture a young audience. There was a coup attempt in Washington D.C. at the Capitol building yesterday. It happened live on television. It happened because of the disgusting and harmful rhetoric our president has used for the past four years. It was not a protest. It was not a rally. It was not a gathering. It was coup attempt by domestic terrorists. It was a sad day for America, and change is needed.
