Today’s word of the day is ‘emergency’ as in state of emergency. A high-rise apartment complex in Miami collapse on Thursday morning with people in it. People are missing, a search is ongoing, it’s a catastrophic nightmare. Let me explain to you the role that local professional teams play during these times. What can they do? What can they offer? (15:15) Rick Carlisle is set to be the coach of the Indiana Pacers. From Dallas to Indianapolis. That wasn’t the most interesting part of the Carlisle hiring — he openly campaigned for Jason Kidd to get the Mavericks job. Just the type of guy Mark Cuban should NOT want in Dallas. (21:02) Kevin Durant vs Scottie Pippen got into a little beef. Pippen called out Durant in a GQ. Durant went back at Pippen on Twitter. (30:45) Review: Hunger. Today’s word of the day is ‘clean up in aisle 5’ as in baseball is a mess as in the foreign-substance checks have turned the baseball world upside down. Max Scherzer was not happy about getting checked pitching against the Phillies and then the unthinkable happened… Phillies manager Joe Girardi asked for the umps to check Scherzer again and he lost it. Girardi challenged him to a fight. Girardi was tossed. Sergio Romo of the Athletics was checked and pulled down his pants right on the field. MADNESS! (14:00) UEFA released a statement on the Munich stadium controversy during EURO 2020. The Mayor of Munich wanted to light the stadium rainbow colors… UEFA said nope, that’s a political stance against the government of Hungary… excuse me?
